Impressive
os:
Windows XPPros :
Well Built (nice and solid)
Design - I like 'em anyway
Little Distortion- if any - ONCE you sort out the bass (see below)
Powerfull (but quietly)!
Controls/Control panel
Cons :
Too much bass at standard setting which can distort at higher volumes.(Easily solved with a little tweaking)
Short cables (luckily-enough for my room )
Overall : I have been very impressed with these speakers. Certainly a massive improvement over my Creative P5800 set. I find myself hearing things that have , I assume , always been there but I am now hearing for the first time! Clarity!
Word of warning - Be careful with the volume control - the clarity and smoothness (once you get the bass sorted) mislead you into thinking the volume level is lower than it is (there is in fact a nice lcd display on the control panel)
Was going to drop a star for shortish cables but decided that this would be a little harsh - you can always buy extensions
great buy

Windows VistaBuy these speakers, just got these for gaming and the sound is perfect. Had a cheaper 5.1 system before and the differance is amaising they are perfect for any gamer or just for music or dvds.
Great speakers
Got these speakers recently the speakers are easy to set up and have great sound quality. Games and DVDs sound awesome on them as explosions and gunfire which surround you! Plenty of power too from the (56 watt) subwoofer.
I highly recommend these speakers as they are great value for the money. Well worth it!!
YAY
Logitech sticks again with another low budget system which is not a bad thing dont get me wrong. i currently have the
Logitech X-530 5.1 Speaker System - 70W RMS
which where great no fuzz in the back ground when you turn them up full when your not playing anything which really gets on my nerves. so i am looking forward to seeing what this bad boy can do rated at 155 watts which my current one is rated at 70 watts. I am tempted to go for a higher priced set of speakers though but these just look so great... and the higher models cost so much... and i mean they look good as in i want to take them to bed with me. one problem i have with the sound system i have at the moment is that Logitech was stupid enough to glue the cylinder's inside the sub so with me pushing the sub to its limits of course it come out of place NAIL IT IN GOD DAMIT glue come on how much do nails cost
Awesome

Windows XPThese speakers are frankly brilliant. Everything is clear and precise, the bass is really quite loud at the default setting. The bass speaker also points into the floor, so if your upstairs like i am, you may have to turn it down not to disturb people below. There's an AUX in with left and right leads, so you can have a console or something plugged in at the same time. The matrix mode i find isn't that great, as the quality drops on the rear speakers, so its best to use the sound card options if you want better quality. These speakers are also LOUD. Unlike my old creative T5800 5.1, these stay relatively distortion free right up to the top volume setting. The control panel you get is also very useful, it has a headphone input, mic input and the ability to mute the sound and the mic. Its also very easy to switch between the Master volume, Subwoofer volume, surround volume and centre volume. Simply fantastic and if you have the money, well worth buying.
RECOMENDED

Windows XPi would say these are great speakers good all rounders & if your into gaming then you will love them (a must) one thing as said before in other reviews the leads for the speakers could be longer but hay it only a case of buying extensions so I.M.O. great buy & for lees than 100 cant moan at all very good i would give 4.9 stars-0.1 of a star lost due to short surround spearker cables.so if you have a good sound card & play games these will blow you & the neighbours away !..
Best purchase in a while...

Windows VistaGot this to replace a failing Dell (Samsung) 5.1 system.
I can't fail it for gaming or music - I run it driven by a Creative X-Fi Gamer card and have had no problems at all with 2-3 months of ownership. The speakers are clear and transparent, the subwoofer is tight and deep; I was amazed at how weedy my previous system was, with the subwoofer being boomy instead of the tight bass response of the Logitech...
Watch out for the minimum height between the centre speaker and any upper tray you may have on yr desk...

G51 review
os:
Windows XPReceived these on the 21/01/08 and have been listening to them for about a week. They are hooked up to a Creative Extigy external sound card/decoder. Used mostly for music on my PC and games / DVDs on my PS3 (connected by optical cable to the extigy). The various reviews for these speakers say they are great for games and movies and this I fully agree with. When it comes to music the reviews were more mixed and I was not all that impressed myself. However, I have found the music upmix matrix option to be very effective after you have spent a lot of time playing about with sound cards equaliser, the sub woofer level and rear speaker volume level. Certainly the upmix effect is much more successful to my ear than the equivalent feature offered by Creative Labs. In the end I replaced the front speakers with the ones from my old Boston Accoustic BA7500 and they work great with Logitech sub woofer. One of the great things about this sub woofer is that you will not hear any hiss from the speakers that are plugged into it when it is powered on but no music is been played. The control pod connected to the sub woofer is also a highlight. One gripe I would have with the G51s is that although you can connect two different sources to the sub woofer, there is no switch on the control pad to choose one or the other. Overall a good set of speakers but would get 5 stars if they cost a little less than the 105 pounds I paid for them.
Still Impressive but...
os:
Windows XPAlthough the sound and build quality is as good as ever consider my initial score of 5 stars (review 15.1.08)was a little generous firstly because of the short cables and secondly the fact that the control resets itself from time to time(which I had not appreciated when I reviewed the first time.)
Not disasters more irritations.
Still very enjoyable and would strongly recommend .Partic since they have dropped in price since I bought!!
Good, but short wired

Windows XPAwesome speakers! How do I know? Watching the neighbours check the weather each time something comes out that subwoofer is a good give away.
The music matrix mode tends to fade out vocalists alittle bit, but generally a decent piece of kit. Loads of questions ive noticed about cable length;
Front left and right are about a meter long and back speakers are about 5 meters.
I would be interested in knowing how I can go about extending them.
Awesome speakers, but the wire length does make it 4*
