BUY IT .. STOOOPID !!!

If you are looking for a 26" Lcd TV with Freeview and DVD built it... then buy this one !!!

It also receives SECAM so it will go with us to France later in the year.

It is totally amazing for the price.

I does exactly what it says. The Contrast ratio is 1200:1 and brightness is 600 cd/m2

Both of these figures appear to be upgrades on the Ebuyer spec?

It certainly has more than enough contrast and brightness, I have found that I needed to turn both down to save my eyeballs from melting.

The DVD player will play anything I can throw at it. I haven't used it for games or PC but I am sure it will cope adequately.

Once you get your head

around the remote it is one of the best I have used, very logical layout. Be aware that the DVB button toggles between DVB and analogue so if you think things are not working try hitting the DVB button to get back to analogue. There are separate buttons for DVB controls and DVD controls in different areas of the remote. Like I said it is very logical once you start studying it.

NO dead pixels whatsoever, you can view this from any angle and still see the picture OK.

IF YOU DON'T BUY THIS YOU ARE STOOOPID !!!!

Picture quality is fantastic, sound is fine.

The only possible negative point is that the case is a bit on the flimsy side, but as I don't intend to throw in on the floor I am not too worried. The nice shiney black finish does show a couple of ripples in the pressing, a bit like a ding in your shiny car door where some moron pressed the door not the handle to close it.

Fantastic TV
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

I have just had my Tv arrive after ordering lastnight.

I must say as soon as i opened it I was impressed at how stylish it looks. It look just like my 42' Samsung Tv.

I have already set it up in my bedroom and now the channels have finshed scanning i am over the moon. It has great quality picture, sounds amazing and the remote control and menus are so easy and straight forward to use. I will ordering the 19' version of this Tv for my childrens room and would recommend that anyone who sees this TV snaps it up. I had search every where for a 26' Combi and this was the one I found to look the best at a cheap price to. The freeview is great too. Value for money for sure.

So this is a must have TV for everyone. Go buy !!!! Save one for my sister to buy too though hahaha

Thank you Ebuyer...I will be back for more

Ordered online 1900 fri, delivered Sat morning 0930 - how good is that? and only cost a tenner for delivery.

TV itself is stylish and once all electronic picture enhancement is switched off the picture is very good with freeview. DVD is great too. Bit more tweaking of colour, brightness and contrast and the unit has the ability to be an absolute bargain.

Great 2nd TV for bedroom at a great price supplied by a company that puts most other online businesses to shame!

Divx/Xvid
review by: Greg Conway os: Not Applicable

Just a quick note to say that Yes, this does appear to play Xvids.

First two self written DVDs(xVids rips of DVDs made using AutoGK) played successfully.

There is a repeat all, repeat dir and play single options and some sort of timestamp based playlist (which I haven't figured out yet)

2 things, firstly it switches off every so often for no reason and secondly, a question, any idea how to get picture in picture mode? I can't find it in the (limited) manual or by button guessing.

Great for the money

First off. This a budget, unbranded TV, and as such does every thing you could want. Great value, great picture.

For anyone nerdy enough to care about the details here are my thoughts.

In answer to a few posted questions, yes it is wall mountable, but the holes are at 400x200 centres, which is not very common for mounts. Check carefully before you buy a bracket. 2 yes it plays Divx, xvid, wmv, avi, mp3....in fact if you put in a cream cracker I think it would try to play it.

As for 5.1 output, yes it seems to have a digital output (co-ax, not optical though) so you would need a surround sound amp with this input.

The built in freeview seems fine, but unresponsive. Sometimes you need to be a little patient after pressing buttons before it catches up, and the EPG isn't the greatest layout. Good quality picture though.

The only niggle I have is the (lack of) integration of the DVD player. Before the DVD will do anything you need to put the TV into DVD mode. This involves about 4 key presses. Unless you do that the dvd won't even load a disk. It would have been nice to just load a disk or press play to switch to DVD mode.

Once you are in DVD mode for the first time, you need to go into setup and tell it you have a widescreen TV and stereo sound as it's set up as 4:3 mono!! Also the picture quality seems to suffer slightly as it seems to be connected internally via composite video.

So all in all, there have been a few short cuts, I guess due to the price, but still fantastic value.
