Got this instead of the Keysonic one - and I'm glad I did. The unit itself is quite well put together, with screws used instead of push fit plastic and none of it feels cheap. Installing it really is as simple as plugging in the small USB receiver and watching windows automatically configure the drivers, there is no CD. Range is decent (I have mine 5m away, with the receiver plugged in the back of my HTPC) and there is no lag or erroneous keystrokes. Also, it does not seem to suffer interference from any Wi-Fi equipment. The hotkeys work as labelled, but some are media centre specific; pressing the music one whilst on the desktop does nothing, which is a bit of a shame. Also, the zoom hotkeys do the opposite of what they are labelled as in Firefox, but work correctly in all other apps, this is obviously a Firefox issue, which I'm sure can be easily fixed by changing the Firefox keyboard shortcut. The touchpad is good, accurate and sensitive. It fares as well as the one on my notebook, even if it is a bit on the smaller side. You CAN left click by tapping, you do not need to use the L+R click buttons on the other side of the keyboard.

Great Keyboard!

Bought this thinking it would be cheap and poorly finished.... couldn't have been more wrong though. This keyboard is slim, well designed and compact. The touch pad works very well and Vista Ultimate requires no drivers for full functionality. All the media buttons work correctly and the range / responsiveness is excellent....

Can't fault this keyboard... can imagine it selling for considerable more than the current price!!

I bought this to replace my other media centre keyboard that had a joystick, that broke really easily. It works pretty well, a couple of lost characters here and there but ok. I use it a good 4-5m from the pc, with the dongle in the back. The touch pad works well. As someone else says above you do have to 'wake it up' sometimes, but for me this is a plus as it stops the batteries dying to quickly.

Good keyboard (for Americans!)

The keyboard works well - plug the small USB receiver in (it's hidden in the back of the keyboard if you want to avoid reading the manual) switch the keyboard on and you're away. It even comes with the required 2 AA batteries.

One small caveat that stops it from getting 5 stars is that it's a US keyboard. No pound sign, @ symbol above 2, etc.

I first got the extra value track-ball keyboard, but the track-ball was very poor and dificult to operate and a mouse button did not work. got e-buyer to replace it with this Nexos one.

Works fine straight out of the box. has an on/off switch and is quite slim. the touch pad is good (for this price).

The only problem I encountered is that it does not always wake up the touch pad if you keep it on. so you may have to switch it off and back on. (-1 star)

overall very good for the price.

The Nexos keyboard is a great choice to remove clutter on a desktop or for use with a media PC.

Sadly, I have had to return the one I received, because I was sent the US version of the keyboard. Hopefully it won't take too long to be sent a UK version.

Ok keyboard
review by: Anonymous os: Windows Vista

I bought this for my son for his 18Th birthday. Disappointed its an American layout, but he said no matter he used to where the uk keys are anyway. He uses it fine with a cordless mouse as he isn't too fond of touch pads. His machine is running vista and it had no problems picking the keyboard up. 4/5 for me and a smack on the wrists for not informing us its u.s

This is a nice keyboard with a nice touch pad, looks great, works great, it is a US layout rather then a UK layout and the built quality is OK but not great. All in all a nice wireless keyboard that is easy to use and doesn't need any setting up at all, well worth the money if you ask me.

My first delivery came with battery compartment missing. One week later compleat keyboard received - UK version!

Works well. Slight annoyance is mouse buttons on left side, not below mouse pad as would be on a laptop.

Ordered one day, delivered next and on super saver delivery. Well done E Buyer.

I rang and asked before delivery and they are UK keyboards so if you get a US version send it back, mine was a UK version. Seems to need to be within 3m or the mouse is very jumpy so will try new batteries and manual says press the button underneath to re-establish the connection, havn't found that yet but otherwise works great.
