Excellent product and price !
os:
Windows XPDecided to try one of these after a much more expensive known-brand psu died then its replaced was also DOA !
Overall am very impressed. Built quality is just as good as any branded psu i've had in the past. The inner workings can be easily seen through the fan and rear panel, components all look good quality and general build/soldering etc. is good.
It is totally unbranded, comes in a plain white box with no assessories at all (not even a mains lead). There is a specification sticker on one side with a very generic sounding model number: "ATX900-135AE".
Performance wise, I am running an overclocked Core2Duo and 2 x 8800GTX in SLi, the psu remains totally silent and runs cool the whole time !! It is VERY quiet, even unplugging every other fan in the case, I cannot even hear it over a single hdd. The huge fan runs very slow but is still pushing a lot of air out the back. Also no buzzing or whining noises which ive had with one or two psus in the past. Modular cables are handy, braiding makes everything look tidy, cable lengths are perfect for typical midi case. (The PCIe's would be a bit short for full/server case I would think)
Considering that an equivilent branded psu would be a good 40-50 quid more this really is excellent value.
Sata Connections
Hi-Power Black 900W Modular 13.5cm Fan PSU - 4x PCI-E, 20+4pin, 6x SATA.
It has 6 SATA connections
Answer To 9800 GTX's
Stated in one of the reviews above, you will be able to run 2 x 8800 GTX's.
Know with 9800 GTX being a different chip (The G92) it is slightly less power hungry like its predecessor the 8800GTX.
So in answer to your question i would definilty think that this would be able to handle 2 9800 with out a doubt.
Hopw that helped Alex
Question to Ebuyer
Does this PSU have 4 or 6 serial ATA connectors - the title states 4x SATA, whereas the overview information is given as x6 so which figure is correct?
8 pin?
Just a bit confused, it says 2x 6+2pin Connectors (total 4x PCI-E)
does that mean 2x PCI-e 8 pin connectors? Because on every other PSU, the 8-pins are labled "8-pin" not 6+2pins. If so, then this can support 2 Gf 9800gx's in SLI?
4870
Will this be suitable for 2 radeon 4870's??
thanks
