good buy
operating system:
Windows Vistabrought this a few weeks ago, mine does not have a blue LED fan, but that is better for me as it is in a NZXT LEXA BlackLine case with red LED's fans. This PSU has a hum to it but it's not loud, it powers a 500Gb sata drive 2 DVD writers a 160GB pata drive and a Arctic Cooling (AC-FRZ-64P) Freezer64 Pro on a Gigabyte GA M57SLI-S4 with a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+, topped of with a XFX 9600GSO 384MB DDR3. Not the most powerfull system i know but good enough for me. checked all voltages and they are stable. would recomend for the price cost about 50% cheaper than most moduler PSU's, feels good to the touch, not very light so would say the build is good. Plenty of cables, you have to work out what they are yourself, so a novice might stuggle a bitt with that. can not think of any faults with it so if you want a basic good cheap moduler PSU just buy it.
Fantastic!
operating system:
Windows VistaThis is a great unit. It's nice and heavy and has a quality feel to it. Here's what i'm powering from it
Intel Q6600
4GB OCZ PC8000 RAM
3x 1TB Hitachi Hard Disks
DVD-RW
X-FI Fatal1ty FPS
2x ATI 4870 in CrossFireX
5x Case Fans
It's definitely up to the job of powering the latest systems, build quality is excellent, and this has more connectors than some PSUs costing double (4x PCI-E is fairly rare) - Look no further if you're building a new very powerful system.
Fan doesnt have LED lights but I prefer this if i'm honest. Only thing I didnt like about this PSU is that it didnt come with screws or a kettle lead, but no big deal!
cant be beaten for the price
operating system:
Not ApplicableJust purchased this item and gotta say it's absolutley superb for the price i paid for it. For an 800W PSU without modular connections you'd normally pay more than this but for one with modular conections this item is a complete bargain. All the supplied cables are great infact i only useabout half of them. If you building a sysem that might require more power in the future then this PSU is for you. Oh and as one other reviewer mentioned it doesnt come with the 3 pin power lead but thats no biggy as most people already have one of these around the house.
GREAT PSU
operating system:
Windows VistaThis psu is brilliant and for this price you'd be silly not to buy it. I have had this psu running now for a month and a half and it is brilliant. Unfortunatley the blue LED lights do not come with it as shown in the picture but never the less it is a brilliant psu. Currently running:
Asus motherboard
Intel Q6600
ddr 3 2gb ram
nvidia 512mb 8800gt
dvd rw
hard drive
6 fans
Also comes with cool features like mesh around the wires and all wires are detachable also. All in all a brilliant PSU and at a great price
Hi-Power Black 800W Modular PSU
operating system:
Windows VistaTook delivery of this psu this morning, all cables fitted to psu, so it was just a case of connecting up and removing the cables that were not needed, runs like a dream, quiet and more than enough power to run 4 HDD's, 2 dvdrw, quad-core phenom 9850, 8gig of ram & a gtx 260 ssc. overall case temp down as well, as old psu was running at full load all the time.
Power to Spare
operating system:
Not ApplicableIn case anyone finds it useful...
Running 2 4870 (1GB) in crossfire
Intel 920 on P58 Motherboard
3* SATA HDD
DVD-RW
Water Cooling
Etc...
Fan quiet but 'ticks' when supply loaded, power stable under full load.
PCI-E cables are 2*6 pin and 2*6 pin with additional 2 pin connector to make 8 pin. They are not VERY long but ok in Midi case.
My opinion it is as good as 'branded' at a lower price.
Worth buying.
