Great processor!

This is a great little processor, it performs very well weather in games or other computing tasks or both at the same time. It's certainly a huge improvement from my old Sempron.

And it runs quite cool: the highest i've seen it go is 38 degrees C whilst running FEAR and converting a video at the same time.

I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good value CPU.

What did you expect from CPU upgrade? Your PC will benefit more from RAM or HDD upgrade - it's not when 300MHz Pentium2 CPU gave you 100% boost over 200MHz Pentium1. CPU those days means only faster processing as you noticed. Encoding is quicker. Everything else is mostly HDD GPU and RAM. So don't complain get WD Raptor and 8GB of fast CL4 RAM and you will see the difference. This CPU at 65Watts if fantastic.
