music and video and photo`s
how to put music/video/photo`s on your sat nav. first of all open a new folder on your pc, and name it like sat nav or something you wont forget. open it and then create 3 more files in that file and name them as music/video/photos. so once you have done that if you want music on your sat nav open the new folder named music once opened drag all your music into it. do the same with video/photo`s. then put your sd card in a card-reader then open your new sat nav folder on your computer and then drag all 3 folders onto your sd card. then put your sd card back into your sat nav go to photos and you will have a new folder saying photo`s open it and all the photo`s will come up. do the same with music/video good luck.
Great Unit
os:
Not ApplicableGot told by a friend to get a Navigo unit, it arrived this morning and it is great.
Sturdy, well built case with a bright 4.3" Widescreen.
I have tried it with music & movie files and the speaker quality is good.
Pre installed navigation software is OK, full postcode search works, but I am going to install Tomtom mapping onto it later today!!!!
I also bought a case with the half price bundle (135505) and the unit fits it perfectly.
The cheapest Widescreen Sat Nav I have found on the net!!!!
TomTom
os:
Windows XPTo install tomtom you do not need to hack the device. Just renaim the tomtom folder and tomtom.exe to the same as it is for turbodog then copy it all to an sd card. Works fine!
Great quality unit, average directions...
os:
Windows XPThe unit is great as a whole. Nice bright crisp screen and the preinstalled maps arent bad. Postcode search is quite long to use but isnt unbearable. If you're after a sat nav and you dont want to pay more, this is as good as any you will get. The partner as a TOM TOM ONE which i used while i was waiting for this. The maps are clearer and the search faster on hers, especially recalculating the route, but apart from that, which is only a small time difference to be honest, this unit is just as good with a better screen.
The one thing I have found that lets this down so far is the route directions and voice commands. The unit doesnt always tell you when to turn, you have to periodically check the screen yourself to make sure. And it will assume you know that the road you want is a turning to the right coming up, not a corner. So even though the road continues, and you need to indicate and pull across traffic, the screen shows the road bearing to the right. Which isnt handy when you cant look at the screen while driving. Its not always, but does happen. Im an HGV driver and rely on the Sat Nav alot. Its not like i can just turn around and try again so its a big negative to not trust it comnpletely.
Im going to do an update when i can, to see if its sorted.
I'd recommend getting it. Honestly, its cheaper than any other, and 99% if the time its brilliant. Get one!
For Better Video Playback Quality
Copy the original SD cards content to a High Speed SD Card, like a Class 6 card, then with that in your Navigo you can watch higher bitrate & resolution video without jerky playback.. The 1GB card supplied with the Navigo isnt paticularly quick.. And larger faster cards aint that expensive now. The Navigo can even accomodate large capacity SDHC cards, nice...
I have a 4GB SDHC in my Navigo, and can play full frame rate video Ive 2-pass xvid encoded with 480x272 resolution and 360k bitrate, looks good.. And no jerky stutter, unlike with the original 1GB SD card..
Best value for money GPS System on site
os:
Not Applicablegot this offer emailed to me, in an ebuyer mail-shot, I never ignore my ebuyer email-shots, cuz there's always something useful I need at a knock down price.
I bought this mainly for going on trips, both short and long, soon found out forget the GPS (Which is great) but is better value watching, displaying movies and MP3, MP4 + other fil formats on any SD or SDHC Memory card.
I use a program called "EASY Media Creator 10 suite" its a great program, very intuative, and easy converting from dvd to SD memory card, however 1st you need a DVD Ripper which is needed to prepare the file. ie. "anydvd" works perfect with "EASY media creator 10"
Got already installed Win CE v5 core which is nearly worth the GPS price alone.
9/10 for price, quality, very happy with build, GPS, (FIRMWARE Up-dateable) and SD reader MOVIE MP3 MP4.
Nav Software : TT
os:
Not ApplicableExcellent piece of kit.
Very hackable - have managed to load TomTom, iGo 2006 MyWay & iGo 8 (all with speedcams etc)
The widescreen makes a heckofa difference.
What a question!!!
You must be really silly expecting somebody will post here a link pointing to download tomtom.XXX :-) If you don't know where to get it from, I'll give you free advice - just go to the shop and buy it!
OK BUT Navigo Widescreen SY-895
os:
Not ApplicableWell done again ebuyer another great buy it worked straight out of the box great in UK 7 digit postcodes door to door Turbodog 5.0 software is ok a little odd if you have used other sat nav units handles junctions better than tom-tom
All the other things such as MP3 player work well through an external amp However support for this unit is going to non existent and I think that its a buy and throw away unit, I have had long telephone call to Tele-Atlas who supply the raw map data and
The manufacture for this product Navigo Widescreen SY-895
Shuoying Industrial (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd customises the map data to their own configuration
However they supply this unit in the following options Eastern Europe North America Mid EastAfrica Central South America Asia Western Europe Australasia so maybe the European maps could be sourced from them Ebuyer should make it clear that there are no other maps available, and I believe that ebuyer maybe filtering the reviews as there is very little negative comments but the forums tell a different story.
COME ON EBUYER DONT SELL HALF A PRODUCT
I will still give it 5 stars because it does what it said it would.
Navigo Widescreen Unit
os:
Not ApplicableSame mapping software as the 3.5" unit (131342) only difference is the 4.3" screen, which looks great.
Charged it via my PC with the USB lead then put my other applications onto the Windows OS (version 5.0) inc Europe maps !!
Sorting my movies now so I can watch in wonderful Widescreen whilst on the ferry to France at Easter.
5 Stars and no regrets
