Not as good as the previous one

I bought this case to replace my Antec NSK6500 Black/Silver Super Mid Tower Case with a new one with a more powerful PSU (550W as opposed to 430W). The psu on this new case is much much better.

However the rest of the case design is not nearly as good.

The over reliance/emphasis on swappable devices means that even things like your dvd drives need to be put on rails before they can be installed.

And this has to be done by removing the front panel.

This does mean that its not quite as difficult to add and remove drives once the whole thing is set up but in order to get to the front panel you have to open the side anyway so it seems like a waste of time unless you are really tight for space inside your case.

For example for each of my dvd drives I had to attach 2 rails with 4 screws each. This meant fitting 16 screws just to put in 2 drives where i would normally only use 4.

Improvements from the other case mentioned are custom cables for the PSU so you only plug in the leads you need to reduce on pointless power cables. The cables provided are much bigger than the previous case tho but this is because they have a protective coating round them.

There is also a front air filter to prevent dust getting into the case but this fits on the front of where the hdd's sit and has to be hand unscrewed every time you need to change a hard drive which is quite tiresome.

I also dont think the case is as quiet as my previous one but this might be due to a more powerful CPU fan so cannot be sure.

The rear fan is bigger than previously and there is now no side vent for the CPU. This doesn't seem to make much difference tho.

Now its fitted tho I wont have to worry about most of these things, until i have to change one of my hard drives...
