Info for PC & console users...
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

I've not got one of these...yet

But people keep asking about connecting Xboxes and PS3's etc so here goes.

Looking at the specs and the connections on the back of the TV (from the Pictures)

PC use

Either connect via a DVI-HDMI lead or the VGA port.

The native screen res will be 1680x1050.

You'll need a pretty good GFX card to get the most out of that res without the PC causing stuttering etc

Xbox use (my intended reason for buying)

The TV does not have the component connections of the standard HD av lead so you will need either...

A new xbox that now come with an HDMI port on the back.

OR an xbox VGA av lead to plug into the VGA port on the TV.

PS3.

Will plug straight into the HDMI port.

Hope that helps people...

Looks like a great product to me - very tempted to get one.. just need to save up :)

Saw it - ordered it - delivered next day - installed it - watched it. 10 mins from receipt to using. Great TV and great value. No criticism from me; a first class service, first class product and first class price. Would definitely recommend to a friend

Switches itself on from standby
review by: Anonymous os: Other

Fantastic TV. Amazing value. Easy setup (in kitchen). Great clear picture from roof arial on freeview channels - not tried anything else yet.

Only issue is that every morning when we come down for breakfast it has switched itself on!! Not the end of the world, but a little spookey... will contact ebuyer for assistance. I will report back.

If people are experiencing the same - please comment here.

Thank you.

Vistron ~ auto switch on!
review by: Mike Bowthorpe os: Windows XP

Hi Guys

The TV is 100% OK and there is no problem ~ some plonker at the factory has made the "auto switch on" turned on as the default factory setting

Simply go through the menus and you will find it has a feature to switch it on at a preset time ~ just turn it off!

Thanks to Paul Taylors for this bit of very useful bit of information

Regards

Mike B

Best value 22inch tv (I could fined)
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

Got this for my sons bedroom.

Best value I could fined. All round its very good, nice size screen for a bedroom, far better than a 15 inch. Picture good, I looked at some 350 pound tv's, their no better. Sound is good, My sons xbox (not 360)works well via the RGB sockets. Also it has nice gloss black plastic.

All in all we are very happy not only with the price. Hope this helps someone.

This TV is absolutley beautiful. Got it delivered to EIRE/Republic of Ireland, took 2 days longer than stated.

Otherwise the TV is great. Connected my ps3 through the HDMI port. Pixels are actually FULL HD (1920 x 1080p) although when playing Warhawk it automatically switches to 720p even though Warhawk is 1080p/i. The TV tuner is not bad but could be better. Cant say anything about th freeview (don't get coverage).

You can also take off the Vistron sticker and say it is a Samsung because th picture quality is great.
