Once again ebuyer deliver. ordered on super saver 5 days and it was delivered in 3 days. Easy to install even for me. Not enough headers on my m/board for al the features as some on board usb use a set of headers. not a problem as the only connection not used is the 1394 as i have one on board any way. Fan controllers work a treat so far

Vista Drivers
review by: Ian Roach os: Windows Vista

I received this on Friday connected it to my Vista Computer and didn't need to use the driver disk as Vista picked up all it's features automatically. It works a treat.

So if your running Vista ignore the driver disk.

Good buy, but a few bits of advice !!!

This product is black not white.

Don't buy it if you motherboard does support Firewire because you need an IEEE 1394 socket on your motherboard, if you don't the firewire socket on it won't work. But if you have a firewire card with an IEEE 1394 socket on it you are all right.

The cable that connects the card readers to the mother board is a bit confusing but once you find out what VCC means then you are all right. It means power and will attach to one of the USB connections on the motherboard.

The fan controls are good and work really well.

Card reader / fan controller

At first, it all looks a little daunting - all the wires and cables everywhere but the simple instructions provided will see you through. (The only thing to note is the small 4 connection black power cable - that connects to a USB header on your mobo).

Once installed, card reader, usb etc work great. The fan controllers fine.....but..... I was expecting to be able to hear a big difference between lowest and fastest rpm (The idea of buying this was to make my pc quieter). They do work, just not as effectively has I'd hoped. In terms of noise, I feel there is little difference.

On the plus side, I ordered 5 day delivery (the cheapest one) and got it after two!

Ebuyer Gets It Wrong Again
review by: Anonymous os: Windows Vista

As for the unit it does what it says on the box and gets a 5 star.

However my beef is with Ebuyer again and again they describe items as being compatable with Windows Vista only to receive the item packaging which clearly does not show Vista as being supported, hence the softawre with the drivers are useless, and as I cant find a manufactuer for this kit I cant find updated drivers!!!

Come on Ebuyer sort this out, perhaps the person who enters descriptions on your site should get a better pair of reading glasses.

As it was so fidly to install I cant be bothered to send it back to them, at least the fan speed controls work.

Is it black or silver?
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

The pictures show a black item but the picture of the box shows a silver one. Which is it, do we have a choice of colours?

3.5" or 5.25"
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

The title states a 3.5" when the description contradicts by stating 5.25". Judging by the size and bracket, ill assume its for a 5.25" bay.
