I removed the old 160GB drive and replaced with this one.

No problems, very easy to replace drive. BIOS recognised without the need for an upgrade, and windows XP Pro SP3 installed without incident.

The drive is quiet. I would recommend this drive for anyone looking for a bigger drive than the one supplied with their laptop

Works fine in a Toshiba Satellite Laptop - Sata 150
review by: Anonymous rating:

Bought this drive to upgrade a 60GB Drive in my Toshiba Satellite A100 Laptop.

Rempved the 60GB Drive and replaced it with the new 320GB Drive. Put the old 60GB Drive in a USB Caddy and booted Acronis Rescue Disk from CD Drive. Cloned the old disk to the new one and re-booted.

Job Done!

Note that the Spec for this drive says that it is SATA 300 but it downward compatible in line with SATA spec. No jumper is provided or required fo force SATA 150 mode.

Replaced a smaller drive in an HP Compaq 6720s with this drive. No dramas and works perfectly so far (1 month). Quiet and fast. Let's see after 6 months.

SATA150 Jumper
review by: Anonymous os: Windows Vista

Does anyone know if this drive has the SATA 150 downgrade jumper?

Thinking of adding it to a Asus 1000h which is only SATA 150.
