Samsung ML2850D

Windows XPGreat printer. Very fast. Quiet. Good quality print. I particularly wanted a printer that housed the paper tray within the body, and this does. Not tried duplexing, so cannot comment. Great value for money.

Windows XPFantastic printer for the price paid. Purchased on the friday and delivered monday morning. Easy setup and does not take up too much space.
Installed on both windows and XP and Mac OSX with no problems.
Print quality was comparable to other more expensive laser printers :) and it comes with a free toner cartridge and also has an automatic duplex printing (double sided) feature, which is a big bonus.
Had to play around with the settings to get my booklet printed but after trail and error, it was spot on.
Again highly recommended! A great printer at a great price!

Windows XPWorked straight from the box no problem. The booklet printing works very well with the auto double sided , sorts all the pages ,excellent.
One gripe though there is no connector in the memory slot for the dimm to fit in. You CANNOT upgrade to 160 meg. thus only 4 stars
I will be notifying ebuyer of this and getting them to change their advert.
Stellar Printer ... Less Than Stellar Software

Max OSXI'm a Mac user (OS X 10.5) and could not be happier with this printer. Robust, reasonably quiet for a laser, fast detailed, I can't fault this printer which replaced a high-end Epson inkjet which cost a bomb in cartridges.
The only let-down is the clunky, frankly Windows-like software which I uninstalled once I had the printer set up. Odious. That said, as the printer is PostScript, the drivers are already built-in. Excellent. One star off for the poor attempt at a Mac control panel.
Positives and negatives

Windows XPPositives are its compactness and speed as well as the low cost for a duplex printer.
Negatives are its dull dark grey/light grey appearance and poor print quality. I get 4 dots along the side of every print. This may have been caused by the poor packing of the toner cartridge which was jammed between the printer and the side of the box.
