This machine is running vista... so of course setting up linux would be fine on this machine. It would be a good idea to go through the hardware and see if drivers are available for the hardware in this machine. Most problems occur with graphics, sound, wifi and bluetooth. Ati appear to support linux. You can't be so general about linux; you need to think about a specific distribution of GNU/Linux. Most beginners tend to start with Ubuntu, which can pretty much setup itself, or Kubuntu for those wanting to use KDE.

Has anyone tried Linux on this unit? Reviews for setting up Linux seem lacking online.
