Windows XPit a good laptop for a month or two until it frezes every time you turn it on, this is cause it has vista so i got xp pro and it never crashes.

The short answer is no it can not. Max Memory for this device is 2gb but the item you suggested is a single 2gb stick which will not work.
The required memory for this device is
SO DIMM 200-pin
DDR2 PC2-5300 (667mhz)
CL5 1GB Stick

I need to know does this have a built in microphone. I understand it has microphone input socket but most laptops do.

Seems like a reasonably priced product.
All I'm looking for is a laptop with a decent memory size that can be used to store and play music for entertainment at a local village club - we have the sound system, so all we need is our own laptop (members getting fed up lending us theirs!!!)
Any comments? / thoughts as to suitability?
