I bought these to save having a big fat powerpack taking up excess space on my surge protector. For that purpose they're great, power over usb is excellent.



For ten quid speakers the sound quality isn't bad. There's very little bass and they suffer when the volume is up but this is expected with cheap speakers.



The disappointing thing to me is the lack of fine volume control. Cheap speakers are normally ok for me because I don't require much volume or bass, but the inability to control the volume adequately has made these a pointless purchase for me.
