Great processor at a great price!

I bought this as an upgrade to my P4 660 (3.6 Ghz) and what a difference!

The first thing I noticed is how much cooler and quieter this chip runs, using my old heatsink and fan from my 660, now my system is near silent!

My fan speed has dropped dramatically and is now between 1200 - 1800. Idle temp is around 20c and full load temp is around 30c!.

Also worth pointing out that I had to change the multiplier from 10 to 11 on my motherboard (GA-P35-DS3R).

The speed increase over the 660, even with stock speeds, is amazing.

With programs now starting instantly and game FPS nearly doubling, without it sounding like a jet engine!

At 55 Pounds it's a no-brainer!

5 Stars!

Your OLD mobo

So long as you check with the manufacturers that the mobo can support the 800mhz FSB then you should have no problem.

Retail Boxed Processors come with heatsink/fan, manual etc. It is OEM processors that don't come bundled with heatsink/fan.
