Bargain for a fantastic home networking product.

Initially I was worried about the quality of this wireless router given it's unbelievable low price. Normally you will not find a wireless-n router like this for less than 80GBP. I was also unsure about the brand, which btw turns out to be a reputable chinese networking company called Tenda (not Plexus).

As it turns out, this router is a fantastic bargain.

The setup is practically non-existant. Within seconds of turning the router on, all computers have access to the internet. The router auto configures itself exactly how it should be to my connection. The only setup required is the configuration of security for the wireless.

The connection speed couldn't be better, I get full speed/connectivity throughout and outside the house. The range is perfect. This router also allows mixed b/g/n mode allowing you to connect with any device supporting any of these methods at the same time.

The control panel allows you to configure every aspect of your router with a good and flexible amount of features and options. It also works fast, applying settings takes seconds and reboots are quick. Upgrading the firmware also revealed a new bandwidth/traffic control feature allowing me to restrict each users connection speed.

Alltogether i'd say you cant go wrong with this router which should be more than ideal for your home networking needs.

Wow! WEP and WPA at the same time.

Bought this router for a customer because of the reviews and I needed a greater range. Router works really well and setup is a doddle. I couldn't use the disk provided because the PC couldn't take small disks but no problem, the web based setup is just as good. Enter the IP address given on the label underneath the router (no www), enter the user and password given on the label and the setup wizard appears.

I noticed on the box that one of the features is two SSIDs. What would you want that for? I thought. Well this customer had two laptops, one brand new and the other quite old. The new one could only do WPA encryption and the old one only did WEP. Normally this would be a show stopper because you can only use one standard. On this router, however, I was able to setup one SSID as WPA and the other as WEP. Wonderful!

Only down side on this router is that it is a little larger than some, particularly because of the three aerials. Looks like a friendly alien when it is mounted vertical (using the stand provided).

All in all a good buy. Please note that this router will not connect to an ADSL broadband line, but you all knew that didn't you!

Just got this router - really impressed with the packaging, looks quality!

Plus it's a great price for a draft 2.0 wireless-N router. Nice little piece of kit.

This router is just owesome! The router came the next day, packed very well and in good condition. The signal strength is just wicked! I set this router up with my old D-Link cable router which has 1 wireless antenna. So basicly I added my D-link router to this using Wireless Disturition System (WDS). I scanned my D-link router, put the MAC address on and I changed the SSID name as same this and now I am using 1 SSID! 4 Boosts, 1 SSID.

I recommend anyone who is interested in gadgets like this. YOU WON'T B DISSAPOINTED!

Happy Ebuyer

After reading all the positive reviews I was wondering whether it was too good to be true and a little uncertain, but I bought it anyway due to the great price. I agree wholeheartedly: It's a great router with easy setup, fab signal strength and fast connection speed too.

I now need to get a wireless-N USB dongle to reap the full benefits, and I'll go for the Tenda now that I'm confident with the quality (Although the cheap looking plastic appearance leaves a little to be desired for - mine is hidden behind the TV).

Note: If your CD reader is a slot type as opposed to a draw drive, then you won't be able to use the CD provided for the setup. I had a hard time finding the driver on their website for this particular product, but that was easily sorted by a visit to the computer shop around the corner where copied the disk onto a normal sized CD for about 30p (the cost of the CD).

I'm now using it with a desktop that runs on Windows XP, and connected with a laptop on Windows Vista. No issues at all.

If you're wondering which router to buy, and are concerned in any way, you won't be disappointed with this one. Besides, for this technology on the current market, the price is virtually disposable. Can't go far wrong really.

I hope that this is useful.

XBox 360
review by: Anonymous os: Windows Vista

Recieved the router today after fast next day delivery.

Had to put the XBox 360 into the DMZ to allow it access to XBox Live. Thats the only issue I have had, other than that top notch router.

I have used Netgear, Linksys and Belkin before. Apart from Linksys, they are not very stable and reliable. This one is far better than market leading brands. The installation is very simple. I did not even need to use the setup CD to configure the router. After installing the router, I notice the significant improvement on wireless signal and speed. The only downside is that it is made of cheap plastic. But I would highly recommand to others for this price and its performance.

The cheapest wireless-n router and it is great. And I don't have to set my xbox360 as DMZ, it can connect to xbox live without any problem.

If you are looking for a router, this is the no.1 choice.

Installation was easy. Once router is installed, I would recommend updating the to the latest firmware from the Tenda website.

Bought Plexus Wireless-N (draft 2.0) USB Adaptor, which works like a treat on my desktop, I would definitely recommend, as I previously would only swear to using Netgear Wireless Routers.

I am also using two laptops (one personal and one work) on the router and connection is fantastic.
