Windows VistaDoes excatly waht it says on the box!
Quite quiet, reads all my hd-dvds and dvds and cds, havent tried bluray though i'd imagine it would work!
Great price and comes with powerdvd for hd media as well.
Cool!
Bluray all the way

Windows Vistavery happy with this purchase. more than i wanted to spend but the HD DVD playback swung it for me as means I can watch either HD format on my mediacenter. easy to set up and get working. has played 3 BD disks no worries, not tried HD DVD yet. thanks ebuyer.
A nice bit of kit!

Windows VistaThis drive has played all of my HDDVDs with no problems. Even the discs that the Xbox HDDVD addon wouldn't play are fine with this.
Nice and quiet. My only gripe is that the software keeps asking to be registered. It isn't trial software but it would be nice to have a button to tell it to not bother you again :-)
All in all this is an excellent all-rounder for a PC/Media Centre.
Updated
Got this drive lastweek and had a few little issues u might want to be aware of.
Uninstall any other copying(NERO) software first. Then i updated Vista 64bit service pack 1. Then is plays everything purfect. Some newer Blu-ray films will force you to update the Cyberlink Software, so u have no option.
Very good product.
UPDATE
os:
Windows VistaGot this Drive a week ago, and just to let you know, I had a few problems (my fault not the product's).
Uninstall all copying software first(NERO), then Cyberlink wanted to update a patch from the version that comes with it.
After that all has been fine.
What a difference HD is, you will never go back to normal DVD's.
Thanx E-buyer
Best Of Both
os:
Windows VistaI bought this a while ago while both formats where still alive, do I regret it? Not at all with the demise of HD-DVD I have been getting some bargains.
My only problem is with the power dvd software, as the version you get is 2 channel audio only so that was no use to me.
I trick is to get you PC to Output at 24hz (if your TV accepts it) to get perfect playback, if your graphics card won't do this then have a look for powerstrip, does the job perfectly.
Help we playing Blu Ray
os:
Windows VistaFirstly, I would like to say thanks to ebuyer as delivered on time and always a great service. Could any one help please? I cannot seem to play Blu ray disks with the software provided. The software tells me a critical update is required from CyberLink which promtly downloads a 80mb file which I save to my desktop and thats it. What do I do with the file? Its not exe and there are no indications of how you load it or place it. Can anyone help!!! Overall a very nice drive and very good for the price.
blue-ray playback problem
os:
Windows XPgood drive, easy to install, working fine.
the cyberlink software, though, refuses to play the newest blu-ray titles unless you update it. then it downloads a file with unknown format. It took me an hour to resolve the problem. this is actually a PowerDVD installer with the extension missing for some reason. the solution is to rename it with the extension .exe at the end and then just run it.
hope this will be helpful.
Smooth

Windows VistaThis is excellent. software is very good too. Set it up on dual screena dn then direct through to my 52 LCD samsung FULL 1920-1080 and watched Vantage point Smooth as silk. excellent. Ebuyer even better
The First All rounder works well
os:
Windows XPWell we all know the HD-DVD people might be spitting feathers after the resent news about Warner Brothers going blu-ray but i say who cares, i already own HD-dvd films but some others i wanted to buy were blu-ray only, so i have sold my x-box 360 hd-dvd and put this LG unit in my media centre PC and guess what it worked first time no problem.
An issue some people may have is with a HDCP complant tv/video output but there are soft and hard ware ways round this.
The PowerDVD that comes with this is a good bit of software which i use, as i have windows XP MCE i cant use the media home video player for HD stuff yet maybe one day it will be sorted.
The drive plays HD-DVD, Blu-Ray and also burns DVD with Light Scribe too.
I have a 5000+ AMD and 1 Gb RAM with 256mb Nvidia 6800GT the video and sound playback is smooth, much better than my old 360 HD unit.
Overall, if you want HD films why limit yourself to one 'type' when you can have both LG have made a nice unit at a sensible price
