Overview
Product Description
Zalman are now producing a new “A” version of their best-selling CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower Cooler. The A version supports AMD’s socket AM2, as well as Intel socket 775 and 478. AMD’s sockets 754, 939 and 940 remain supported too.
The primary innovation of the CNPS9500 lies in the patented ‘figure of 8’ shape bending of the heatpipes. This produces the effect of up to six heatpipes when in actual fact there are only three. The excellent cooling performance and efficiency of the CNPS9500A-LED is achieved by the aerodynamically designed ultra-slim heatsink fins and their performance optimised layout. This layout reduces airflow resistance and minimises the weight of the cooler.

Excellant cooling!
operating system:
Windows XPI purchased this product to replace my ASUS stock cooler.
Previously my AMD Athlon 64 X2 AM2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ was reading temperatures of 55degrees on idle/boot up, and anything up to 71degrees when gaming. Resulting in performance loss.
However now with this cooler and some decent heatsink compound (arctic silver) i now run at a cool temperature never exceeding 38degrees !
Also the fan just looks great in my case!
I highly recommend this product!
Great!
I have a P4 3.2 HT which used to idle at around 50 degrees, and full load at around 60-70. It now idles at 27 and full loads at around 35-40!! Brilliant bit of kit, and looks great too. Fairly easy to install.
Highly recommended!
CNPS9700 LED
operating system:
Windows XPi bought the CNPS9700 But i just noticed it has been discontinued,
anyway, i upgraded my processor from athlon x2 4800 to the x2 6000+. temp was running at 55 deg, installed new fan on my AM2 Mobo this morning and temp has dropped to 37 deg, really easy to install on AM2, just 1 clip. i also bought the Arctic silver 5 thermal paste but you do get a bottle of thermal grease with these fans.
i noticed there is a 9900 version of this fan aswell dont think it will make a helluva lot of diff which 1 you buy 17 deg is a helluva drop.
excellent fans in my opinion
Pretty damn good
operating system:
Windows VistaBought this to cool my intel Q6600 quad core, does a pretty good job, couldnt tell you what temp it is running at but you can see from the design it is much better than the stock cooler. It comes with a fan controller, you need to have it turned right down to minimum to get near silent cooling. My only concern would be that those with smaller cases may not be able to fit this inside. I have the cooler master cosmos and it fits in fine.
Bulky, bit good, cooler
operating system:
Windows XPBought this to cool my e8400, it does the job quite well with the fan on low speeds. The fan does get quite noisy when turned up but at stock speeds I doubt you will need it.
One thing to note is this cooler is EXTREMELY bulky, on the MSI board I have (P35 Neo, nothing fancy)the retention bracket blocked the first memory slot when put on one way & when turned around the edge of the bracket rests on the back i/o connectors.
Flower Cooler
operating system:
Not ApplicableI took the old stock cooler off my AMD 3200+ (on a Socket 754, Asus K8N board) and replaced it with one of these. I was worried that it wasn't going to fit - but it did - just. I had to remove the PSU to get it in place (the bracket which holds it in place is wider than the 'flower') and I had to mount it in the reverse order that Zalman recommended. I can't say that this is cooling it better than the stock cooler (I imagine it is) as I didn't measure the temperature beforehand. (ATM, its running at its lowest speed with a CPU temp of 44C) However, it is so so much quieter than the stock cooler - and a quieter machine is what we were after.
The fanmate is a good idea, but I didn't want a multicoloured cable running up the side of my PC, so I just left it inside.
LED light is a bit annoying, but for gamers with a window on their case it probably is exactly what their after.
All in all, if you're looking for an attractive way to quieten (and probably cool) your PC, go for this.
(Four stars because it was quite a hassle to fit)
