One of the best Gigabyte motherboard
os:
Windows XPI have used Gigabyte motherboards in the past. I have just upgraded to this model from soltek. It is great with AMD dual core 3000 Ghz processor very very fast.Worked very first time without any issues. Great price from Ebuyer compared with other venders.Only minus point it hasn't got esata.

Windows XPGot motherboard the next morning after last night order :D , Motherboard fits perfect into Xion Case , no problems at all except when i booted up and i hadnt pushed the cable in hard enough for my hdd but got that sorted ... Took a little while to load up but once it did it restoerd all my data. Good motherboard :D
PERFECT FOR GAMERS :D
Perfect for Phenom
os:
Windows VistaThis is the cheapest to go for 9850. lots of tweaking in bios (for more option use ctrl+F1 when entering bios setup) I give 4 stars because I can`t get OCZ2P10004GK to work at 1066mhz due to wrong spd data? even on F4 bios some option will not let me chose required settings. works ok on 800. By the way for CrossFire you will need PSU with 2 P4 connections, for single graphics use just one. Using 460w PSU with 9850 and 3870. consumption not exceeding 300w on full power. RAM slots are very close to CPU so be careful when buying cooler. Also have 4x sata cables 2 normal and 2 right angle. If for overclocking consider alternative MB cooler, stock goes up to 85C.
ok so far.....
os:
Windows VistaOrdered this board together with a 9950 phenom x4 and 4 gigabytes of kingston ram..
Built the system and installed my coolermaster geminII cpu cooler, hit the power button... nothing, fans all spin up, hard drives whir into life, but not a lot else..
To cut a long story short, to run the faster phenoms on this board, you need the latest F5c bios update.
All running now after some teething hassles.
Refuses to overclock by much, can get the black edition phenom upto about 2.8Ghz, but no more.
Probably a good board for overclocking the athlons and possibly the less power hungry phenoms. This puppy takes 140watts and i dont think the boards voltage regulators can really hack it.
Seen quite a few horror stories of these things catching fire... lol
Oh, the northbridge gets rediculously hot too, possibly having a friendly competition with the voltage regulators..
Be very surprised if i dont have to RMA this board sometime in the future.....
four stars due to it needing a different cpu toget the bios flashed (lucky i had a AM2 sempron here)
Shame really because the board layout is great, just hope the toasty northbridge (you cant touch the heatsink without burning your pinky) and the VR's hold out.....
usual ebuyer excellent delivery etc.....
RAM probs
This motherboard seem unable to
support more than one strip of
Corsair ddr2 ram.2X1 gig causes blue screen crash.I have loaded latest bios drivers etc and tried all combinations in CMOS/
DCTS mode without result.Anybody
have a solution.
Northbridge runs hot and I would recommend cooling if running a
9550 Quad core or similar.
CPU Support
As supplied this MB Bios does not support Phenom 9950. the MB will power up but you will get no POST. after pulling my hair out i found this info, swapped the CPU to a 9950 and voila beep beep beep.
will review board later now it fires
