Varnam Touch Sensitive Digital Photo Frame VM830BT

Varnam VM830BT comes with a unique touch sensitive front panel to control the functionalities. The touch panel provides the user interface for the photo frame there by avoiding protrusive buttons on the frame. A full function remote control complements the touch panel control.

 

Not just that it also has a built in re-chargeable battery for operating it with out the mains power adapter.

 

It also comes with a built in flash memory to store your photos, music or video files.

The Photo frame can read and display photographs taken in JPEG format, if you insert a memory card with pictures, the frame will automatically start playing them as a slide show.

 

 High Quality LCD Screen

 

Like a LCD television the photo frame uses a LCD panel. Quality of the LCD panels used determines the quality of the image reproduced. Varnam uses one of the highest quality 8 inch displays available with a resolution of 800x480 pixels reproducing rich and vibrant colours.

 

Viewing angle

 

Wide viewing angle, with LCD screens, this is an important factor that needs to be considered. In Varman digital frame the viewing angle is 130 degrees when viewed from left to right. 45 degrees when viewed from top and 65 degrees when viewed from bottom.

 

What is a viewing angle?

 

If you place the photo frame on your desk or on a table in your room, you will be viewing the photo display from a distance, your eye will not be in straight line to the centre of the photo frame but at an angle.

 

If the LCD screen does not support wide viewing angle then you will not be able to see the images clearly from a distance or from the sides (a ghost like distortion will appear). Many of the cheaper frames suffer from this problem.

 

Built in Battery

 

Varnam digital photo frame has a built in rechargeable battery making it convenient to take them around. On a fully charged battery the frame can operate for 1.5* hours. When the photo frame is connected to the mains charger, the battery gets charged and simultaneously it can do its normal functions.

Mounting options

 

The photo frame can be placed on a table using the built on stand. The length of the leg can be adjusted there by changing the inclination of the photo frame.

A full feature remote control is included for ease of operation.

 

Functions & Features

 

Slide show timing & Transition Effects

 

The slide show timings (the time interval for which a particular photo is displayed) can be adjusted between 1 second and 60 minutes. There is a choice of built in transition effects.

 

The frame can play back MP3 music using the built in speakers. Music can also accompany the slide show of photographs.

 

The photo frame  plays video files in the following formats : AVI, MPEG1(mpg/dat), MPEG4, DivX, Xvid - for video play back please use a memory card with a faster read/write speeds.

 

Calendar Function & Alarm

 

A calendar functionality is built in to the photo frame software.

 

The photo frame can be programmed to automatically power on and off, on a particular time every day. This feature can be used as an Alarm where by the digital photo frame can play your favourite photos, music or video at a given time when it wakes up.

 

Text file Display

 

The photo frame can read and display contents of plain text files contained in the memory card or in the internal memory.

  

Copying Files between memory devices

 

Using the photo frame files can be copied between memory cards inserted in the frame or between the internal memory of the photo frame and memory cards with out a computer.

The frame has a separate USB port to support USB memory sticks.

 

Mini USB Port to connect to a Computer

 

The frame has a mini USB port for connecting it to the computer. Using a  USB cable (not supplied) it can be connected to a USB port on a computer. Once connected to the computer, you can transfer files between the computer and the photo frame’s internal memory, or other memory devices inserted in the photo frame.

 

Computers running either MS Windows Operating Systems (versions that support USB plug and play) or Mac OS X (Version 10.2.8 and above) will recognise the photo frame once the USB connection is established.

 

When connecting to a computer, please connect directly to the USB port of the computer with out any USB hubs.
