Great PDA
os:
Windows XPIf you prefer a PDA without a phone this is an great choice. Fast cpu, clear screen and comprehensive WiFi & Bluetooth connectivity. All the usual PDA features work as expected.
A couple of things to note :-
Sound is ok but not as loud as some previous models (like my old 3970).
I was initially was a little disappointed by the battery life but found if I turned down the brightness a little (its very bright on full) it improved considerably.
If you want to use it in a car with a Bluetooth GPS for Sat-Nav be aware that it's quite fussy about car 12v to 5V USB power adaptors. Anything rated below 1000mA will probably not charge the PDA while it's switched on.
If you were lucky enough to buy it during the first 3 weeks of June it was just over 100 pounds after the cash back offer.
Works fine with TomTom

Not ApplicableI bought this specifically to run TomTom 6 and it works a treat. The display is clear and bright and TomTom connects to the bluetooth GPS automatically on startup, unlike my previous setup of IPaq 4150 + TomTom 5. I don't know why the previous reviewer might be having problems but it works OK for me.
Tomtom
Update to Tomtom version 6.030 or later to solve the problem of no backlight without usb power.
Fantastic

Not ApplicableWhen I bought this, I had a 17" laptop, which isn't exactly portable. I considered a netbook, but bought one of these instead! I'm so glad that I did, since I can also use it as an mp3 player whenout and about, the sound quality is very good, it uses a standard 3.5mm connection and the volume goes really quite loud. It's cheaper than getting a 3G device too, since with wifi it connects to my router around the house and garden. The Windows mobile software is great, it includes office, media player, windows live (hotmail and msn messenger), calculator, calender etc and a couple of games. If you look on the windows mobile webpage, you can also download themes etc.
How to waste time

Not ApplicableCouldn't get this to work with Tom Tom which is the reason I bought it and cannot now return as it took me ten days to find out that it was useless to me.
