os: Windows XP

Brought this for my EeePC 701 to upgrade from 512 to 2G, I was converting my Eeepc to XP anyway so waited till I had finished the installation closed down popped the access panel off at the back and removed old Ram. Replaced with the Crucial stick rebooted with no problems, all is running well and the extra memory has help XP run smoother.

I did pretty much the same as Geiseric. I have a Eee 701 [4G] running XP and wanted things a little more smoothly. ASus have retracted their "warranty void sticker" [see google] so upgrading is fine. I popped out two screws, pulled ut the old 512K chip, put in the new 2G chip and put the cover back. Turned it on and it worked!

The only tip I will add is: MyComputer->Properties->Advanced->Performance:settings->Advanced->VirtulMemory:Change and set "No Paging File" on every drive [then "OK" your way back out and reboot] ...you almost certainly won't need to use all yourdrive space up with pagefiles now :)

Delivery: Ordered Monday @ 15:00ish on 5-day delivery - received Wednesday 09:30

The 2GB (2x1GB) kit is superb. My Sony Vaio AR517B opens applications so fast now and infact I have tried playing UT3 on it and it runs superb.

Great kit!!!

os: Windows Vista

Starting off with the RAM itself, it was well packaged and came with instructions, installed it in minutes and was up and running again in no time. Saw a vast difference in Vista booting time and also responsiveness of the OS, moving from 1GB to 2GB certainly does make a marked difference in Vista.

Focusing on Ebuyer themselves, I bought this product on supersaver delivery expecting it to be delivered the following week and it turned up the very next day!! I'm well impressed and so pleased I could take advantage of my delivery sooner than anticipated. Well done Ebuyer!

os: Max OSX

Bought this memory to upgrade my Imac 17" dual core 2.0GHz from 1Gb to 2.5Gb.

Took about 3 mins to remove cover, remove 512Mb SODIMM and replace with this 2Gb SODIMM.

Recognised straight away and works perfectly.

Usual brilliant Ebuyer price and fast delivery even with Super Saver.

Thanx again Ebuyer

RE: For Mac?
review by: Anonymous os: Max OSX

For the person asking if this will work in a MacBook - I just received 2 of these (4GB total) for my 2.8GHz 24" iMac and the RAM works perfectly. Identical in spec to the Crucial Apple-specific modules albeit with a different catalogue number. So if your MacBook uses PC2-5300 200-pin modules. you're ready to go!

Great saving from eBuyer and despatched real quick - ordered on Friday and delivered Tuesday and that was with Super-Saver delivery!

Highly recommended.

Asus EEEPC 1000h

I'm posting this comment to inform others that are interested (like I was) that, this works perfectly well in the asus eeepc 1000h (also bought from ebuyer ;-) ).

Fitted in the memory took me 2 mins and booted to find that it just worked and fully recognised by the OS (XP PROFESSIONAL service pack 3). Those again who are interested I have yet to test how it works under Vista just yet but I will soon and I shall report back asap. 1 more thing I not sure if this voids the warranty so be sure to confirm this with Asus if this is an issue for you, remember I warned you. I just couldn't help it my eee was calling out to me "UPGRADE ME" I just couldn't be so cruel ;-)
