Good Camera, Good Price

Windows XPI bought this camera to take on holiday to Mexico. It is very easy to operate and comes with good instructions and a informative (though cheesy) DVD instruction video.
I had trouble finding the specs on this camera as it is not generally stocked in the UK only Canada. It comes with a mini USB slot so you can hook it up to your PC and use it to stream video. I have not managed to get this to work and ended up buying a cheap firewire card and lead for the pc. Once that was installed I was able to download the recorded video to the pc to edit. Be warned a 90min tape takes up around 20Gb. The camera features are very good with steady shot and night vision although you have to be close to the subject for the infra red to pick them out. The mic is adequate and records in stereo although it is dierctional and you need to keep it pointed at the sound source or you wont pick anything up. You can buy extra kit for it like a mic boom telephoto lense, light etc from sony, the only thing I would recomend is a tripod as using the zoom with your hand results in a shaky shot if you go up to the 40x. Its just about small enough to fit in your (baggy jeans) pocket and the battery on full charge will last the length of a tape (90min) on LP. Excelent entry model that with decent editing software will look very professional.
