Works fine with XP SP3 and Ubuntu. The board is well laid out, and clearly well made - as Gigabyte tend to do!



Some slighty odd fan control algorithm in the BIOS - the CPU control is as expected, but the Sys Fan (the 4 pin one) is calibrated badly - it seems the PC has to catch fire before the fan is run at full speed..... and the CPU temps are way off - with an E8400, the BIOS reckons the CPU plate is running at 43C from cold, while everything else reports the Dies running at 32C... silly.



One other observation, the various overclock performance modes (like Cruise) actually screws the performance up. And to make matters worse, even if you set it back to default, the Vcore settings become fixed... and the only way to cure it is to pull the battery.



All in all, a good board, just needs a bit more "development". Which is unlikely since GB will be twiddling with the P45 boards now.
