Absolutely brilliant

First of all, this thing weighs nothing! super light weight compared to the LG Flatron I replaced it with.

I made the move from a 19 inch LCD to this 22 inch widescreen monster. The picture quality is absolutely stunning and it was really easy to set up. Just a matter (in my case at least) of:

1. plugging the cables in and switching on

2. installing the driver from the included CD and the associated software such as MagicTune and Natural Color

3. reboot the machine and change the screen size

Job done.

One thing to remember if you're using an Nvidia card is to switch from Analogue to Digital via the control panel, the picture is even better once you switch.

PS : If you're wondering about your video card, I'm using a GeForce 6800 and have had no problems with this monitor at all. I don't really do PC gaming anymore so I've not tested any but for video editing, photoshop, programming, browsing the net etc it's perfect.

Wow, what a fantastic monitor this really is, i have just received this today having only ordered it 2 days ago, I have to thank Ebuyer once again for a very pleasant and quick service. I bought this to replace my old trusty Viewsonic 19", and i have to say everything about this monitor is pure quality from the picture to the absolutely beautiful looks of the dark red surround, well done samsung for another quality product.

Amazing for PC and PS3!!

I ordered on Friday with the free 5 day delivery and received it on Tuesday, so Im very pleased with ebuyers super fast delivery. The monitor was easy to fix to the stand, a lot easier than my friends 2232BW. The monitor has no dead pixels, scratches, marks or any damage whatsoever.

The monitor looks great, and the touch of red at the bottom really does look amazing. The power button is touch sensitive, pretty much like the Playstation 3 power button, which is stylish and aesthetically pleasing. It has a red LED to indicate that the power is on, but this can be turned off if you want.

The monitor comes with everything you will need to get it up and running, including VGA cable, DVI cable, UK power lead, European power lead, a cloth to wipe the screen and driver disks etc.

There are no audio outputs on the monitor, and it has no built in speakers. This isnt a problem really due to the fact that monitor speakers are usually inferior in quality and already have speakers that I plug into my sound card.

The monitor was easy to set up and configure. As soon as I plugged it in, it allowed my resolution to go up to 1680x1050, which looks great on this monitor. I literally plugged it in, changed the resolution and I was good to go.

The colours, gamma, brightness, contrast etc can all be adjusted using the buttons on the side and the on screen display. I would also like to mention here that the buttons on the side of the monitor arent an inconvenience. They are positioned in a logical way and they are fairly easy to get to grips with after using them a few times. The driver disks have a few programs that allow you to change and enhance some of the monitors features, but I havent messed around with those too much.

I read some reviews claiming that the monitors stand wobbled if you knocked your desk etc. The monitors stand is sturdy enough, and it locks into the monitor. I shook my desk and the monitor isnt going anywhere, but it only wobbles a little, like any other monitor would. If you are like the majority of people and put the monitor on a desk, or surface which has legs, then I cant see there ever being a problem.

I also brought this monitor to use on my Playstation 3 using a DVI to HDMI lead. It works brilliantly and the resolution on the PS3 goes all the way up to 1080p, which looks stunning and very crisp. Overall, it looks brilliant on not only my PC but on Playstation 3, and Im guessing it would look just as good on any other console. A great buy, and with the cashback offer on at the moment, I cant recommend it enough.

Bought this to replace a high end 21"CRT, hooked it up to a GeForce 8600, rich & natural colours, sharp contrast, crisp definition, & plenty of brightness. Clarity much better than many LCDs I've seen. Case & stand are a high quality gloss finish. No hint of motion blurring in games running at full res. All in all, I'd recommend it.

I love this monitor. Easy to set up and the light at the front of the monitor gives it a look that leaves others in its shade.

No visible wall mounting holes/fittings & it isn't mentioned in the manual (which is now online at samsung.com).

No buzzing that I've noticed. No backlight issues. In a darkened room (with only monitor on) light is visible only if you look through the cooling vents at the back.

2m DVI cable supplied along with analog cable.

ordered my t220 from ebuyer using super save free delivery on Tuesday and it was delivered day after next, thanks ebuyer, amazing service as usual....

the monitor itself looks GORGEOUS, shiny and glossy black with a hint of maroon at the base.picture quality is superb as can be expected from Samsung. was a bit worried before buying as i'd heard reviews about how the monitor was prone to wobbling becuz of the circular stand, but now that its sitting on my desk i have to say that unless u barge into ur desk like a bull there's no danger of it toppling over. all in all a great product and definitely worth the money. for this price and 3 year warranty what have u got to lose? get one NOW! and only buy from ebuyer, as their customer service is second to none, even better than amazon and that's saying something...

I have to say, choosing the T220 was a good idea. It looks stunning - it is by far the most beautiful electronic item I own.

In real life it doesn't seem to have quite the same pearlescent effect, although that may be because my room isn't lit by huge lights...

The image quality is stunning - I've upgraded from a Sun 21" flatscreen CRT, whose image now looks dull and lifeless (and blurry!). My movies and games have a new lease of life - the improvement in some of them is more marked than when I upgraded my graphics card! The only problem is that it is very obvious how old DVDs are when you have a 22" monitor, especially if you have used it to watch HD content. I've found that using ffdshow to upscale the resolution and image quality helps, but look to get Blu-Ray stuff in the future to really experience the power of this monitor.

Assembly of the monitor was a bit clumsy as they only supply a generic manual, so you'll have to use a bit of nouse to put it together (make sure you don't drag it across any surfaces though - I foolishly pulled it a couple of inches over the top of the lid of the box and I now have some grazes on the plastic which are visible in some lighting). It comes with all you need to set up though - VGA, DVI, power (no brick, just a standard kettle lead). Make sure if you have the facility to, connect it via DVI to get a digital image!

I feel this review wasn't very structured - hopefully you followed it. But in conclusion - I'm incredibly happy with this monitor, and after seeing the 2232BW in a shop after getting my T220, I can say that the T220 looks a hundred times better :) Just be prepared to use the supplied duster regularly as it collects dust rapidly (I'm obsessively dusting it every few hours!)

Not glossy

For those that care, like I did when I bought this monitor, the screen is not glossy but the case/housing is. It is an amazing screen, shame it doesn't have a swivel but the base is pretty much circular so its not much of a problem to spin it.
