Great
os:
Windows XPI bought this use with the hard disk from my laptop which I am ugrading.
The box itself is reasonably well made and sturdy and the drive was easy to install - just undo the two small screws and slide the end out, push the drive in and slide back in again. Replace the screws and away you go - took all of about one minute!
Provided with it are:
Usb cable
spare screws ( 2 )
a screwdriver
a mini cd with the manual on it
a pouch to carry it in.
Plugged the drive in and away it went, no problems at all.
Just a note:
The usb cable comes with two plugs, you will need to use both of these if you install a drive larger than 120GB in order to supply enough power!
Excelent Caddy
os:
Not ApplicableI decided to change my hard drive in my PS3 and get a caddy to use the current HD as a portable storage unit.
It is so easy to install the 2.5" sata hard drive into this caddy. Just unscrew the 2 screws pull the connector out, connect the hard drive, slide it back in the caddy again and screw the 2 screws back in.
As the boot sector of hard drive from the PS3 is in the Sony standard, I has to initialise the disk and reformat it again from Windows.
This is an excellent caddy for the money and comes with a velvet cloth case, screwdriver, 2 spare screws, manual on mini cd, USB to mini and normal USB cable (the cable can power a mini USB device and a normal USB device at the same time)
Very Neat

Windows XPI like it, alot. Using it with a 120GB HD and once formatted works a treat. well worth the price.
Have used NTFS so only going to work with XP, 2000 and Vista, but i need to move big files otherwise i'd have gone for FAT32
Format your harddrive with the manage option on your 'My Computer' icon.
Simple

Not ApplicableThis is perfect for the purpose. It looks sleek, it's compact and it works.
If anyone's wondering, a 320GB hdd works fine with this.
good stuff

Windows VistaI just bought it last week with 120GB WD SATA 2.5" hard disk and received very quickly.
It looks very nice. They provide two spare screws, one screw driver, USB cable ( two connections, one for power) and one CD. The design is simple, only one output on the case ( USB).
For Vista system, it can recognized automatically. But if you use new hard disk like me, you should use disk management to format the disk firstly and give the disk name. Otherwise you cannot get the F or H disk in your system. This is not mentioned in menu.
Anyway this caddy is quite good and save your money. You can build your own 120GB portable SATA hard disk lower than 40 pounds
Good Stuff

Not ApplicablePut my 40GB PS3 hard drive in it, works a treat, blue LED is not overly bright and the case is pretty sleek.
Does the job...

Not ApplicableGot this little gem a few days ago and was really happy with my purchase. The case is more sturdy and more solid than my Toshiba 2.5 320gb external. The color is not black really but a darkish metallic green which looks really good with the brushed aluminum. Aside from a few rough plastic edges which I think came from the moulding process I can't fault this baby. And for the price.. hey everyone is a winner. By the way it worked with my new 320gb Western Digital HDD. Fantastic!!
help
I have just put my 40gb hard drive from my ps3 into this caddy, but my p.c. wont detect the external harddrive when i go into my computer. has anyone any ideas how i solve this?
