It's HUGE

Windows VistaI've bought this for a new build in a midi case, full ATX gigabyte motherboard, 3*hdd drives, 1*DVD, and this puppy is HUGE !
The board stretches forward to the full extent of the MOBO and blocks at least two of my drive bays, but it's worth it.
It covers two expansion slots due to the size of the fan (this I was expecting), but the length of the bard is enormous.
I have a dual boot system, Vista and XP.
Under Vista there is a querk with the intallation software and I had to manually run the installation from the disk, other than that this baby really packs a punch. 5.9/5.9 score on Vista, no conflicts, does more than I'd wished for.
Under XP there is a different querk where you appear to have lost your sound ! If you read the manual and check on line (luckily I did before installing) you'll see that after installation the sound in XP is routed through the graphics card. Simply change it back in Windows and you're away.
Very quiet, excellent performance, does everything I'd wished for.

2. It doesnt make hardly any noise.
3. I can play Counterstrike source with everything turned up and still get full FPS.

Windows VistaBought this soon as i saw it, made a real difference to my computer from my X700.
Model is HD3850P3-E3H 512Mb DDR3.
Comes with VGA adaptor in the box, manual, drivers for Directx9 but updates to directx 10.0 with Vista SP1.
Very Good card, can't fault for the price.
