easy setup
os:
Windows XPJust installed this wireless router with USB adapter in the PC and all went fine. did this in under 30 mins.
Only comment on install is that i initially user opera to connect to the modem (remember to type in the ip address supplied), but the display didn't look like the manual, so i tried with Explorer and all was as per manual.
Entered in all the details and hooked up to the internet ok.
To early for a review on the performance, but thought people would like to know my experience of the setup given the only previous review.
Happy sufing and thanks to ebuyer for promptly suplying a speedy replacement when my original choice was out of stock.
GOOD BUT

Not Applicable... I have found ZyXel's routers to be quite good, long range for wireless, however have tried to setup two of these and it doesn't like changing the WEP key or SSID name, after about a dozen tries it eventually excepts it - cannot work out why not the first time?
Great Product and Reliable

Not ApplicableI've purchased several of these for customers and always install first time no problem. I've had no problems changing IP address range or SSID name.
Two small annoyances - hence the 4 star. Firstly enabling the WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK security isn't as obvious as most routers, ie not in the same setting area as WEP 64/128. Secondly if you want to port forward for external access you have to change the firewall setting in the router and allow WAN to LAN data transfer. Again, not obvious - as just adding the port forward is not sufficient.
Having said that the details are in the manual if you have time to read it.
ZyXEL P-660HW ADSL2+ Wireless Router & USB Adapter
Got one of these in April. Had difficulty securing my network. Sent an e-mail to Zyxel and followed their answer to the letter. My network was so secure I didn't have a network, my pass key was not recognized by the other comps on the network. Went through everything again, and again and again, still no luck. The pass key box comes up but simply will not accept what is put in and I do mean pass key, not IP password or replacement 1234 password! I had DSL broadband working happily for years and only got this router so other computers in the house can get online, so am now no better off. I left it as unsecured for months as it was such a hassle and half the neighbourhood are using. It only cost 29 pounds at the time, but as I am no better off until I find an answer I give it 1*. I have not rung Zyxel as yet so who knows. Did anyone else experience a problem? For when I first researched this model there were a lot of reviews mentioning just what I am experiencing, but I though it would be different for me - ha!
