Smaller than I expected
os:
Windows Vistagot this delivered 2 days after ordering so thanks ebuyer. The unit is somewhat smaller than in the picture which is a bonus. It also magically powers via the USB port so there's no mains adapter. This is an even bigger bonus as it is easy to carry around and means I can also take it abroad. Over 300Gb that fits in my pocket makes it the best 90 pounds I have spent in a long time!

Windows XPI got this from ebuyer one week ago,I paid extra for saturday delivery, it arrieved on time and very well packed. One extra thing I like is the nice little box wich i would normaly bin, but actully will keep to carry it in(just the package that it came in)very sturdy and simple.
Firstly I pluged it in to my laptop and copied all photos i then transfered all photos to a PC from Laptop, than I Pluged into a different PC and copied all photos from that. I have since left it connected to my Laptop to view and edit photos with (Picasa (free from google)) I am very pleased with how it is working I cant tell you any speeds, But it is working as quick as i need it to without a single problem.
It looks and feels great to.
Small but Excellent

Windows XPThey say good things come in small packages well they are right. This little hard drive is excellent. I haven't had no problems with this at all.
also i say always plug these usb devices in the back of the pc as the front ports dont get much power compared to the back ports.
well done Freecom

Windows VistaI was monitoring this and dived in once ebuyer knocked it down 20 quid. Very nice product- simple and easy to use, doesn't get too hot and is relatively fast for transfering and back up. Nice and small too so no worries getting it in my laptop case. only gonna give it 4 stars because it is not as nice an enclosure as my previous aluminium freecom drive. Mind you, this was much cheaper!
Freecom 320GB Portable Hard Drive
os:
Windows XPI purchased one of these recently from Ebuyer, thinking that it would work like a memory stick; i.e., you connect it to a USB port on the front panel of your computer and it works. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. I have tested it on 3 computers, and it would only run on 1 of them. The only way I could get it to work on 2 of the computers was to use a powered USB hub - only then would the hard drive work. I have since contacted Freecom who were very helpful and sent me FOC a mains adapter, and a 'Y' USB cable. However, I only bought this because I assumed it acted like a memory stick.
Nevertheless, it is a good drive, no fan, very small, and does not get hot. Just don't buy it thinking it will be like a memory stick; it might work, it might not.
