Not ApplicableOut of the box and up and running in under 10 minutes without any problem. Software that came bundled was excellent, especially the drive mapping software, mapping can be a pain if you are not used to it this was really easy to set up. also this has a 2 year warranty for extra peace of mind

Windows XPYou can't really go wrong with this. I did have a little fight getting the software to run and had to go to the company website to download a more up to date driver, but now that that is sorted the Buffalo gives me that comfort that you get from a warm duvet. 250 gig isnt the biggest capacity, but just knowing that everything is safe and sound is a big plus. Highly recommended for your archive of family memories. Four stars only because of the set up issues. Without that, five stars would be the score!
