Windows Vistabought this so I could move my DivX and MP3 collection off my PC hard drive. Once connected you immediately see the available storage capacity as it has already been formatted to FAT32 which saves alot of time. In the set up you can reformat to NTFS so larger file sizes can be transfered. The formatting obviously loses some of the capacity, as with any hard drive I have ever had. This one has 943GB available which is more than enough. Looks good, feels solid and has a nice, strangely relaxing, blue 1TB light on the front. A nice external hard drive!

This drive is too noisy. Would not have bought if the specs gave an indication. Footprint is also larger than others. Avoid
