im interested in buying this ard although i would lke to know if its one that uses 2 slots and if it blows out the back on box or if itjust blows out of the card and around the box?

Windows XPThis is a single slot card with a big fan, thats silent at 25% were it stays mostly all the time, you can also use the card to its full performance by using vista with Sp1 installed, ie Direct X 10.1 nvidia cards only use 10 at the moment i can play all of the latest gams for pc in top quality i.e crysis and Grid it clocked to:
Core clock: 871
Memory Clock: 1331
Temps:
idle 33'c
Heavy benchmrk loads 65'c
although ati says the temp shouldnt exceed 110'c

Windows XPNice card my only quibble would be the fan noise which ranges from silent to unbearable depending on the BIOS fan settings.
There are lots of posts about this on the net. I'm now happy with my current settings after editing my current BIOS and reflashing the card.
I've set it at 24% 2D and ramping up to 40% 3D full load. Prior to this the fan would get up to 70% which was so loud it would distract me from gaming.
I'd upgraded from a 7900 GS and very very happy with the performance increase for the price I paid.
I would recommend any HD 3870 if you can get it for a good price but a double slot version may offer better cooling and/or lower noise.
