I'm loving this processor to bits, as it does say you can do more, a hell lot more!, Cheaper than the 2.5ghz well worth the price must buy for first time builders.

A good upgrade from E4xxx series
review by: Yu Zhi Zhang operating system: Windows Vista

purchased this CPU in place of my E4300. Installation was easy and quick. Used with Gigabyte EP43 DS3L together ATI 4850. on stock cooling it gives a consistent 29C CPU temp and 40C system temp in BIOS readings. vista rating is 5.5.

definitely worth 92 quids and I will recommend this to anyone who is looking for a decent processor in sub-95 pounds range.

What a fab piece of technology!!

This CPU has exceeded my expectations. With it looking a lot worse on paper than the e8*** series, it made me a little reluctant to get it but SERIOUSLY it is absolutely superb! This processor flies in Vista, getting rated in the Windows Experience Index as 5.5 at the stock speed (2.67ghz) and 5.7 when overclocked to 3ghz or above.

Overclocking is very easy too; with my Freezer 7 Pro cooler (very good value for money, for 16 pounds it's very much worth it!) i have managed to get 3.33ghz with 1333mhz FSB on stock voltage and on load only broke into the low 30c temperature range. For 90 pounds, it makes this processor the best performance against price. Very much worth considering this.

Best of all, it comes under the Core 2 Duo Range. Come on!? A very overclockable, cool Core 2 Duo processor with 3mb cache and potentially 1333mhz FSB for 90 pounds, you must get this!

this is a great all round cpu. its good for everyday use, gaming and can overclock well. easily to 3.2 and much over.

the temps are cool and uses very lil power.

best not to use the stock cooling. get a antec freezer 7 pro, or an oem version of e7300

Had this cpu for around one year now and hav no troubles,

Iv overclocked this to 3.8ghz 1600fbs on 1.35 v core on a p43 asus mb with 1:1 ratio, im sure i can clock this to 4ghz but 3.8 is more than enough

highest temps on full load on prime is around 55c and never over 60c with freezer pro

very good cpu but for this price you can almost get an quad core on ebuyer
