Wow
operating system:
LinuxOrdered this monitor yesterday on next day delivery and it was here by 12 today. I'm using it with an nvidia 8800gts 320mb edition, so a good card but not a mental one and I have to say i'm super impressed. I probably am fairly easy to please as i finally bit the bullet to replacing my old Acer AL1711 which was a 17" with a 20ms pixel response, but so far in use i love this new monitor. The images are bright and crisp and I finally have enough space to do my dev work. Videos look good, but i'm afraid i'm not a gamer, so can't comment on that front. Final thoughts??? If 24" is too big and does your head in, grab this, its great and i'm thrilled, also no dead pixels :D
Great Full HD Screen
operating system:
Windows XPOrdered this screen with next day delivery but didn't turn up for two days, this was due to courier - Ebuyer refunded the difference so fair play.
Screen is great, a big difference from my 4 year old 19" Dell monitor and much better than staring at a 12" laptop screen all day!
I've got it hooked up via a KVM to a Dell laptop on a docking station and my MacBook. Works very well at full resolution of 1920 x 1080, I'm only using the VGA connection presently and hope to test the DVI-D connection soon.
Menu system and buttons are not the best but not a real problem, I've only had to use them once and how often do you adjust these anyway once initially set-up?
Overall I very please with this screen.
Great Monitor
operating system:
Windows Vistagot this just before christmas and i have to say it's an awesome monitor.
going from a 15 inch first gen TFT means it hasnt had much to live up to!
the hig res in a 22 inch screen means everything is ultra sharp, even without AA in games. i'm running a 4870x2 and it seems the perfect compromise between a big screen and frames per second.
one thing i will note is the options for response time in the menu are "normal", "advanced" and "ultra fast". selecting ultra fast meant that some bright colours experience weird colour shifts when moving quickly or scrolling fast. for example bright greens and yellows have a pink shadow in Left4Dead. switching to advanced makes the response sharper with no problems at all, so i would stick to that.

Fantastic monitor! I got one. GET ONE!
operating system:
Not ApplicableNot bothered fiddling around with any of the settings. Makes all my games look good, also Flighsimulator 2004 is now looking much better, specially at nighttime, compared to my old CRT. I'm seeing more shades of dark colours than ever before.
Believe or not, my 6600GT AGP 256mb will run my flightsim and various MMORPG's such as Lineage II, Warhammer online, AEON BETA all in the 1920x1080 resolution with minimal FPS hit! Whereas I tried to run 1280x1024 on my old CRT and my GPU was stressing to a point where most games were unplayable so I had to go back down to 1024x768! STRANGE but hey I'm not complaining
Monitor comes with every cable connection going apart from a HDMI..but no surprise there.
The only thing I CANNOT STAND about this monitor is the blue LED power light which is situated smack bang in the middle of the casing. The LED is seriously bright, dazzling, so blinding, it's almost as if somebody is shining a laser pen into your eyeballs. So I now have it permanently covered with bluetack!
According to lots of reviews sites, they label this monitor a 3 star just because it has a TN panel and apparently the colours are rubbish unless you configure it? To be honest that's a load of rubbish and IPS panels?!... Well most sites just bash any monitor that has a TN panel these days...
Very impressed
operating system:
Not ApplicableOrdered yesterday afternoon and it arrived this morning. Nice monitor, plenty of cables, no dead pixels and a good crisp image.
Very impressed!
Great value
operating system:
Windows XPThis is a fantastic monitor for the price. The 16:9 HDTV ratio is going to be the standard for the foreseeable future which means it's future proof. You can connect this to anything from a PS3 to a blu-ray player thanks to the HDMI port. Of course it's a TN so viewing angles and colours are not cutting edge.
My previous monitor was a Viewsonic and that never let me down after five years of knocking it over! Hopefully this one will be the same.
It gets five stars purely because of the value.
nice monitor
operating system:
Windows VistaReally great monitor, the picture is brilliant, good enough viewing angle for me to not to have noticed when it starts to look bad. Good brightness, just SHINES next to my old ASUS.
Only thing I've noticed about this monitor is the time it takes for the display to switch on from standby, it's about 5 seconds, a very minor issue only the most impatient of people will be at all fussed about.
fantastic
operating system:
Not Applicableabsolutely fantastic monitor - ordered last thing Tuesday night, turned up Thursday lunchtime (on 5 day free delivery!!!). Very pleased, nice and bright, amazing clarity and no dead pixels. Only trouble is, this is stretching my old graphics card so I might have to build a new PC to go with it :-))
Great looking screen
operating system:
Windows VistaGot this screen today, unpacked it and worked a treat. Tested out some 1080p clips and WOW !! Really great.
One issue with the menu system though - hated it with the buttons hard to see and on-screen menu a bit small.
What's the details on the 3 year warranty ? is it on-site ?
good overall
operating system:
Windows XPhi just got this today and its quite a good monitor well worth the money although havent had a chance to test full hd video as no hdmi cable comes with it, but games in 1080p look great super crisp, if you are moving up to this monitor from a crt like me it takes some time getting used to the brightness and amount of colour, over all good monitor for money
