I just received my memory today as it was stated by ebuyer..

There were no problems what so ever...Simple install and my PC picked it up with out any problems... I have seen some serious improvments from my pc i.e. My pc boots up and shutsdown faster and also windows runs real smooth...

All I can say to you is go for it this memory is worth every penny... for the price its on ebuyer, you seriously cannot go wrong with it.

I'm happy

I bought this memory as part of a new system build:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping (2.4GHz 1066MHz) Socket 775 L2 8MB Cache (2x4MB (4MB per core pair) Retail Boxed Processor

Corsair 4Gb (2x2GB) DDR2 1066MHz/PC2-8500 XMS2 Memory CL5 (5-6-6-18) 2.1V

Hitachi DeskStar 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 16MB Cache - OEM

Coolermaster Elite 330 Black Mid Tower Case - No PSU

ASRock P45TS iP45 Socket 775 7.1 channel audio ATX Motherboard

Samsung SM2243LNX 22" TFT Monitor 1680x1050 10000:1 5ms VGA W/Mountable 3 Years Warranty - Glossy Black

Currently running XP in 32bit because I'm not that fond of Vista, oh and my graphics card (X1950 Pro) is bottle necking the setup I know, I'm waiting for the new range of Ati graphics card to launch come Sep 10th featuring the latest Dirext X to purchase a new one.

All I can say it's fast!, why are people still buying the 800Mhz XMS2's for a few quid less? This is the ONE to buy from the XMS2 range! It looks nice too.

RAMtastic!

I have the standard 2x2GB Corsair PC2-6400 DDR2 in a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P motherboard with a dual boot system (WinXP 32-bit, Win7 RC1 64-bit) and was looking for another 4GB for Win7. I was dubious about how WinXP would handle the 8GB. Well, it seems it will accept 8GB but only offer about 3.5GB (or 3.25 with Quad CPU). Win7 shows the full 8GB.

I was going to buy what I already had, Corsair XMS2 PC2-6400, but was attracted to the XMS2 PC2-8500 for less loot. I thought I'd give it go and underclock it to PC2-6400 speeds. I run both types of DDR2 at (2x450) 900MHz with EPP timings 5.5.5.18 @ 1.8v and they run fine. The PC2-8500 will do 1066MHz - I checked. They must be the same basic chips since the Gigabyte board does not invoke its Flexi mode for different RAM types.

I think these represent very good value.

I bought this memory for my Gigabyte P35-DS3L motherboard and all I get is blue screen restarts. I have tried changing the memory voltage in the bios with no success.

Simple answer, don't buy it
