5.7 vista score on standard(not over clocked), on an AM3 board.

All AM3 chips are backward compatible with AM2 and AM2+ boards.

But remember your AM2 chips are not compatible with AM3 boards!, For anyone thinking of upgrading =)

Excellent processor

It's been a while since I've put together an AMD system instead on an Intel one, but I put this CPU in a cheap AM2+ motherboard with DDR2 memory. I'm very pleased with the performance for the price and know that I can upgrade to a quad core later. Welcome back AMD.

Great cpu!

paired with a Zalman CNPS7500-CU cooling fan was running at 26 degrees! the fan doesn't even need to run half the time! over clocked to 3.2g amd went up to 29 degrees! considering these processors shoud be running at 50 degrees plus. i'm blown away. 5 stars from me.
