Excellent all in one motherboard
operating system:
Windows VistaI brought this MB for use of a home theatre / work machine.
I coupled it with a AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition and 4GB of Kingston Hyper X memory.
The performance of the board is excellent, very fast and the cooling is top notch.
I have played a few games (Wolfenstein) on it to see how the on-board graphics would work and it seems to handle things ok (Low - Medium graphics).
In terms of home theatre performance, I had numerous issues with the HDMI, esp when trying to get sound out (via HDMI). You really have to play around with the settings to get it working. The performance when playing Blue Ray movies is excellent.
It pays to update to the latest version of the bios and drivers from the Asus site.
Overall im quite please with this board, if you want to play the latest games you will have to invest in a better graphics card.
Overall, this is an excellent performing board with everything you need on-board and great overclocking ability!
Awesome motherboard with unlimited potential
operating system:
OtherI brought this motherboard for a home theatre / work machine running Windows 7. It has all the relevant connections, HDMI Out, Optical Out, Dolby Digital, eSATA and so on.
I brought this alongside the AM3 Phenom II X4 955 BE and 4GB Kingston Hyper X DDR3 1333MHz Ram.
It installed flawlessly and in no time, the performance is amazing!
The driver disk contains all the utilites that you need, i would recommend installing all of them, and then upgrading the bios with the provided Bios Updater application.
The built in HD3200 GPU is better than I thought it would be. Havent really thrown anything at it yet, but you can overclock it using the GPU NOS application on the driver CD.
I have brought Asus for years and they have never let me down, this is just another great example of a quality motherboard with great overclocking potential!
As per usual, eBuyer's service was 2nd to none, ordered afternoon on Wed and arrived Thurs morning!
