Takes time to set up, but worth it

OtherBought this as a replacement for my old Asus A7N8X Deluxe Socket A (Athlon XP2800) system, which has done sterling service for 7 years.
First board had to be RMA'ed as it wouldn't POST. New board built up very quickly. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit installed and runs very smoothly - and boy is it fast! Windows 7 Experience clocks the processor at 7.4 and the rest of the system at 6.9.
Loads of features, if I have one criticism it is that there is no Firewire, but apart from that the board is great. Gigabyte overclocking utility works and it overclocked to 3 GHz with a single button press, with options to go further.
Great board, pity the first one that arrived was duff but ebuyer collected within 24 hours and replaced within 4 working days. System is whisper quiet, CPU never drifts above 28 degrees, and if it lasts me anywhere near as long as my old rig I will be well pleased!

Be careful
Be careful with some of these cheaper i5/i7 motherboards as they have 2 pci-express slots but one of them is only running in x4 mode. So the card in this slot will be severely slowed down. Get a motherboard with 2 pci-express 2.0 x16 @ x16 mode. If one of them is in x8 mode then thats not really a problem for crossfire.
No Boot Issue
Hi
Just in case anyone gets the same issue that I had, if you don't have the 8 pin power connected then the mobo will boot for around a second (fans come on lights too) then off and this cycles, again and again, so very frustrating. Had a lot of head scratching

Loaded Win 7 Pro really quickly but can't comment anything else at moment as was quite late when finally worked!
