Absolute bargain
os:
Windows 7This PC is a real bargain, best value bang for your buck!
The case is actually black (unlike the pictures shown on here). Front panel is shiny black, with silver highlighting, looks classy. CD/DVD drives are covered by flaps.
Inside, it is very well laid out and feels extremely well built. There are 3 free hard drive bays, and space for another CD/DVD drive. The installed hard disk is a Hitachi Deskstar 500gb with about 485gb usable space. The power supply is rated at 255W and runs virtually silent. The case fan and CPU fan are noiser, but not obtrusive. The CPU is cooled by a non-standard Akansa fan and heatsink, and runs very cool (around 30 degress C).
Motherboard is a Foxconn G31 and the bios is Phoenix.
6 x USB ports are available, 2 on the front and 4 on the back. Other outputs include the audio, VGA, and network.
Have installed Windows 7 64 bit which is running flawlessly. No problems with drivers, all installed fine.
All in all an excellent budget PC, brilliant value.
Bargain! Get one soon!
os:
Windows XPProbably the best VFM in the UK. The dual core processor is extremely quick, and the rest of the specs suit most requirements. A professional PC at an amateur price. Superb!
Excellent
os:
Windows XPBought this coupled with http://www.ebuyer.com/product/152940 which seems to work well with the 250w power supply. Installed windows xp nice and quickly. Came with driver cd but the network drivers didn't seem to work correctly but found them easily enough on the Foxxcon website.
All in all this is a nice PC at a great price and can be coupled with a decent graphics card for a budget gaming pc.

Motherboard
Hi
Can anyone tell me what is the motherboard make and model please?
I want to find out if it has an ata hard drive and floppy socket.
Thanks
Wrong LAN drivers (XP)
os:
Windows XPThe LAN drivers provided on the CD don't work. Can be fixed by going to the Foxconn website and searching for the G31MX (socket 775) on-board lan drivers.
Good and Bad
os:
Windows XPI usually build my own machines, this one is for a friend's business. So XP install went fine apart from these effing LAN drivers.
Installed drivers from the cd, found the ones on the foxconn website, no go, same problem
EVENTUALLY (read: hours searching for a solution) solved it by installing PCIE Driver xp 5738 11202009 (from the realtek website I think, been to soooo many websites)
Nice little machine apart from the headaches, which I'm trying to save you from by posting this.
Would rethink buying anything foxconn in the future.
Be aware
Ordered this PC and it arrived promptly.
Unfortunately I overlooked the part of the overview spec that states "keyboard and mouse not included". I assumed by the picture that they were.
Now I`m sat at home with a Pc, a 22" monitor and an OS and I can`t do anything with them because I have no mouse or keyboard and I didn`t open the box till half an hour ago and all the shops are shut.
If I`d realised I could have ordered them at the same time, now I`ll have to wait until I get time during the week.
A bit frustrating.

Windows 7
Does anyone know if this would still work at an acceptable speed with Widows 7 as an operating system?
I am currently on XP, and want to skip the Vista 'hurdle' !
