Asus HD5770 CuCore
operating system:Windows 7an upgrade from an X1900XT which was still doing a fairly decent job (or so i thought)
was getting 45/50 fps in COD4 without AA
now averaging 140fps with x4 AA
similar jump in Dirt2 and BF2: Bad Company2.
but the main difference is everything looks so vivid, solid and colourfull.
couldn't say if it was worth the extra for the copper core and volt mod yet as i don't need to clock it and i've not heard a standard 5770 for a comparison, but its a damn sight quieter than the hoover i had in it.
Great Value
operating system:Windows VistaI have had this card now for 4 weeks, no problems. I get 120 FPS in COD MW1 and L4D2 easily and can run Crysis in High on 1 card (Screen Res 1600x1050)
Awesome card, great value.
Although if I was to SLI or Crossfire, I would think about getting 2x260GTX over this.
BUT for value and quality, I had this over a 260GTX any day.
Works a treat
Upgraded from an Nvidia 8400GS and it works a treat.
I'm running XP 32 bit atm and had some trouble with the CD drivers. Went to the ATI site and found the drivers pretty easily. Everything is running fine now.
I am going to upgrade to Windows 7 at some point though to take full advantage of the potential of the GPU.
Excellent Card
operating system:Windows 7I bought this to upgrade from a Sapphire Radeon HD3850 and it's excellent.
With the 3850, the GPU was reaching 89C while playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 but with this card, the highest I've seen it get was 51C and that's running in DirectX 11 mode in a higher resolution than the 3850 was.
For the price, this is a really good card.
