Always done the job for me....

I can only speak from experience and IMHO these Power Supplies have always done the job for me - so I have to rate them at 5 stars.
I have used them as replacements for failed PS in older kit and in many new builds.
Recently I teamed one of these with an Atlas case and a mobo that (on reading other peoples reviews) can be picky about it's PS - not that I knew that at the time.
No probs...
The systems I build usually have an Athlon 2000+, fdd, hdd, 2 ATAPI devices and a case fan, so it's not as if they don't get a good workout.
Not had a problem yet...
I am not someone who is into analysis, so I can't tell you any stats on the voltages etc.
They either work and I buy them again, or they don't and I avoid them.
I'm still buying them!
If in doubt spend £20 more... btw the more expensive ones are usually noiser!
Ideal for older ATX Computers

Windows XPI bought this as it was the cheapest PSU I have ever seen for sale in single quantites, and being Technical Director of an internet company, I've seen many.
The test system I installed this on was on a Pentium 2 ATX machine which needed a replacement. It did the job, full stop. Although, judging from previous buyers comments I suggest that this PSU should NOT IN ANY WAY be considered for use on a more powerful system, any CPU clocking over 1GHZ will surely create a load on this unit.
Basically, its a cheap replacement for an older PC (Pentium III ideal), and if you are looking for a PSU for your Pentium 4 3.06 GHZ and 120GB H/D, buy a descent branded PSU.
Also, the fan's are not completely silent, but no where as loud as Ebuyers 400WATT PSU, they do make the computer sound as if it is on, but not as violently as many people depict. All in all, this is a perfect replacement for a blown PSU on a less powerful machine.
300 watt psu
300 watts is enough for most systems at the momment, unless you are a overclocker who has to push their kit to the limit you will be fine.
or if you connect your toaster to you psu you will need a higher rated one

Windows 98Mine was made by CASECOM and has an on/off switch, and a voltage selector switch set to 230V. The fan is very quiet.
Connectors are as follows:
20 pin ATX x 1
4 pin molex (for HDD, CD drives etc)x 4
4 pin Berg connector (for 3.5" FDD) x 1
4 pin Pentium 4 motherboard connector x 1
6 pin AUX connector x 1
Berg connector is wired to one sext of 2 molex
Label reports the following amperage values:
+3.3V 20A
+5V 20A
+12V 10A
-12V 0.5A
-5V 0.5A
+5Vsb 2.0A
+5V N +3.3V Total output: 170W
To test if a PSU works, without plugging it into a motherboard:
1. disconnect from mains
2. jumper ATX connector pin 14 (green wire) to one of the ground wires (black, eg. pins 13 or 15 on either side of green one). You can use a paperclip. See: http://www.helpwithpcs.com/courses/power-supply-basics-inc-pinouts.htm
3. plug in mains and power on, see if fan comes on, but dont leave on too long as its not good to run it with no load. Just see if the fan works.

Not ApplicableI've installed about 6 of these now as replacement PSUs mainly in older PCs. Have had no problems yet. The ones that I have orderd recently all seem to be Maxima ones & are not noisy at all. Good buy.

Not ApplicableI have bought several of these PSUs now. I use them in customer PCs when their power supplies have failed.
They have always been reliable and I have never been called back to one that I have replaced.
Cant fault it for the price.

I use a 1.3ghz, 640mb DDR RAM, ATI Radeon VE on a ECS K7S5A motherboard and never had any problems.
If this works for me then it should work with similar systems and those with a lower spec. Dont go buying an athlon 2700, 1gbyte ram etc... 5 hard drives and blaming the psu for not coping. Its like plugging your house into a duracell AA and blaming the battery when you can't turn the TV on.

Windows XPI was originaly running a 1GHz p3 with 1Gb ram with 128Mb graphics the psu worked fine its a bit noisey but other then that it the best budget buy ever. i only wish it had another floppy drive power supply
Quiet, reliable, and cheap

Windows XPThis certainly does the job for a lightly loaded PC. Quiet, stable and reliable. Why pay more unless you run a processing monster? Plenty of power outputs incliuding the 12V extra for a P4. Mine had a 240V power outlet as well. It runs cool. I'd have another any day.
Soild supply, no frills, gets the job done

Windows XPWell I'm a big fan of the big boys such as enermax and CWT. Infact upgrading your power supply often solves crashes and instability problems as well as aiding overlcocking. However I thought I'd give one of these a go in a new PC I've built which is essentially a no frills intermediate gaming platform with one hard drive, one dvdrw and not a lot else! This supply handles it fine with no problems and it also has a good amount of connectors, no SATA though. A good buy if you're not planning to overclock or introduce more components, but at just over £5 you can always upgrade!
