Thumbs up
operating system:
Not ApplicableThe ones I received differed from the ones pictured. These come plastic bagged with through power connectors and 4 flush mounting cross-head screws which fit well.
They are a staggered offset blade design and they do shift plenty of air. This assuming the intake / outlet holes on your case are not too restrictive. If you do have an 8cm square space with just half a dozen microscopic air holes cut through the case then i think you will need to buy a better case instead of upgrading your fans above this.
Yes the power connector is a through power connector of the type you use to power your hard drives. This is not a problem, unless you like filling every available fan hole in your case, in which case, these through connectors can clutter up the inside of your case a little bit and some cable ties are highly recommended to keep them (and the leads) out of the way of your nice new airflow.
The main advantage of the through power connector over the 3 pin mobo type is that most mobos only have 2 case fan points (if you are lucky) this way you can place as many as your case/power supply will allow.
The fan chassis is clearly marked with rotation and airflow indicators, making installation dead easy, even for the novice that has never seen inside a case before.
I cannot say they are noisy because with 6 of them running in one room, there has not been any significant noise level increase over that of the 4 power supplies and other branded cooling fans that were already in place.
All in all a good value for money product.

Fan assisted
operating system:
Windows MEI paid 62p exvat for these and stuck four in a sytem I built. Quite a smooth little fan. Does the job.
What else can you say. It's a fan. If you need some, buy some. Also it's not a good idea to see if you can stop these with your tongue.
Oh yes..
operating system:
Not Applicablethese are the dogs danglies, anyone who has trouble with them is a moron. God told me that in a dream, he looked like a musketeer by the way, all long hair and a beard.
Cheap, Quiet and Quality
operating system:
Windows XPI bought five of these fans and two of the antec ones, and I think the performance between the two is negliable.
These fans dont push the worlds most air, but push a good amount, and due to their noise (which is quite quie), you can put loads of them in your case without noticing the noise.
Anyone who has said that these fans do not push any air, or make lots of noise, must have them SUCKING into the case through a restrictive fan hole. In this case they DO make some noise, but swapping the power leads around to make them 7V solves this problem completely. Also, I highly recommend buying some fan guards, cutting out the ones in your case and replacing them. It will make a big difference to noise and airflow.
They DO NOT look like the fans in the picture, they are staggered many blades. Excellent value, high quality, good airflow, good noise level.
Does what it says
operating system:
Not ApplicableShifts air out of (or into) the case - IMHO just as well as fans costing 10 times as much.
No 3 pin mobo connector for rpm? Be honest, who looks at that anyway after the novelty value has worn off?
What does it tell you anyway? - temperature is the important measure, not rpm...
All the systems I build include this fan and rounded cables (from E-Buyer) and no complaints yet.
Can't say fairer than that!
They do the job for 97p
operating system:
Not ApplicableThese fans might not blow through as much air as delta fans and might be noisier than other fans but THEY ARE 97p. What are you waiting for? 2 of these cooled down my AMD2500 450 watt system by 17 degrees. I stuck in 2 of my friends delta fans (£7.75 each) and it cooled my system down by 20 degrees. 3 degrees, £13.50 I dont think so. BUY THEM.
Cheap as chips..
operating system:
Windows XPI bought two of these for less than £1+vat, to fill up the spare fan locations in the back of my case.
My PC is now less than half as loud!!!
How? Because i can now turn my cpu fan down from 5100 to 3000! My cpu runs cooler, I can overclock my gfx card some more, my ram is cooler, HDD is cooler, blah blah. And it hasnt crashed since (used to sometimes crash when encoding mp3's or playing games for ages).
Best pound I spent on my PC.
Mounting Screws
My fans came without mounting screws as well, but I purchased a pack of 50 from Maplin for about £2.50
Part no. A10BJ
Worked fine with 80mm and 120mm fans.
Exellent fan for the price
operating system:
Windows XPWell, it's a fan, it goes round and keeps things cool (20 degrees cooler than no fans at all!). I ordered three of these for a new case and they arrived in good condition, although there was no packaging to speak of, they just came in an envelope!
A quick test on an open workbench and all three fans worked flawlessly, and very quiet. Once they were in the case though, in a confined area the noise picked up a little bit. This is purely due to the amount of air these things shift, the fans themselves are quiet, but when the amount of air they move is in a confined space like a case, it can get a little noisey.
Overall a great buy, and will keep your case nice and cool, even if you just get one!
Good Fan
operating system:
Windows XPI was pleasently surprised with this for under £1, I found it pretty quiet. Mine connects to the System Fan header on the motherboard, and maintains a speed of about 2200 rpm. Very Good value!
