Common Sense People!
review by: Anonymous os: Not Applicable

It really annoys me when people who obviously have very little experience with computers try to tell people that this generic memory is not compatible with certain motherboards. In reality, this generic memory in not compatible with a lack of common sense! Simply setup your BIOS correctly, keep it updated, and it will work fine!

It is much the same with `instability` problems reported by some people. If you install Windows correctly, keep it updated, and keep your drivers up-to-date, you will have no problem.

If I hear another person recommend Crucial memory, I think I am going to scream! Please remember we are living in the real world here, and not everybody has money to spend on 50% more expensive goods.

This product represents fantastic value for money, and not `false economy` like some of the other products for sale on this website.

BLC.

It works. Not much else to say, really.

As for ebuyer.com memory in general; I've installed 3x64MB PC100 DIMMs, 1x128MB PC133 DIMM, and 1x512MB 2100DDR, in various PCs and all have worked faultlessly.

Why buy a more expensive alternative...

We've seen the price of DDR come down a huge amount in the last year or so.

I put 512Mb stick in a PC I built last year and it cost me almost £100 from this very same site.

I've had two of these in a system I built about a month ago now, no problems at all.

Why bother paying the extra for a "named" or supposedly faster module, when there is little or no evidence to support a noticeable performance difference.

RE: the guy talking about common sense
review by: Mark Duncan os: Not Applicable

Its not a matter of common sense no matter what mr.big head may think..... Some, yes SOME, not all motherboards are picky about RAM, which is why certain mobo manufacturers like MSI have a RAM checking feature on their website so you can be sure if the RAM you buy will work with your board........

Common sense is needed in computing but blaming ppl when mobo's are picky about RAM is below the belt, mobo's can and will be picky about RAM, although its a small percentage it does happen....

When you buy RAM and/or a Motherboard do a little research into either and you'll find it alot less hassle when getting components to function.

I brought this memory to go with an ASUS motherboard and it's fine. It fulfills my only 2 criteria when it comes to memory. A) it works and B) It's cheap.

Nice one ebuyer!
