GREAT SURGE PROTECTOR

This is a very good investment if you have expensive equipment like plasma tvs and PCs. It has six sockets, so there is plenty of space when i need to add more devices to it. When i originally bought this from ebuyer, it cost me £16. Now it is only £7. So i bought myself another :D. It is a great piece of safety equipment.

RELAX....
review by: MR KINSEY os: Windows XP

Bought this to relax me - HERES why.
I aint a bigwig on global warming, but we are getting a lot of..rain-thunder-lightening..(as if you need me to tell you)...oh yeah its supposedly summer July 07.
Anyway - I was on the PC and the Mrs was catching up with the soaps on TV. The Mrs heard THUNDER and scrambled around the house (woman on a mission) switching all appliances off !!!...There had to be a stop to this!... And the surge protection was it..i ordered 3 of these...(GREAT)...just need something for the dog now.

I already have one of these because Belkin replaced my old unit totaly "Free of Charge" when my old unit protection light went off, their service is just superb, I paid £20+vat for my first unit and was so impressed I recomended it to my son who bought this unit for £20 also we have both been very pleased with our purchaces but when I saw it again at £6.94 well I just had to get another.

You will not buy this cheaper anywhere else

Excellent product @ Bargain price.

Well done EBuyer

What a bargain, I have seen the same model selling for 30 pounds so to get 2 for half that price is incredible. The rotating plugs are very useful but it is a pity they only rotate in one direction. Will it protect against severe electrical surges? Who knows we will have to wait and see but at this price it makes a great multi plug socket anyway. Service from Ebuyer was excellent.

Great bit of kit

Bought one of these to protect a PC, monitor, printer, TV and freeview digibox (seemed particularly susceptible to interference).

LEDs are a great feature and enough to reassure me it's doing its job. For the price it's well worth having to protect those more expensive to replace items.

Only down side is the on/off switch can be a bit flimsy and I've managed to knock it a couple of times with my foot.

Still, great bit of kit and well worth the investment.

Never need one until !!!!!!
review by: Anonymous os: Windows XP

Hi all, I had a surge protector on my pc for years never even thought it worked or done anything, then one sunday evening (oct 07) the power shut of for a few seconds, and then again just for good measure, who know's why I certainly don't, but my pc was still working ok, but I noticed that the internet connection wasnt working,as I connected via a gateway/router I checked the configurations, they had all been changed, spent hours trying to get it up and running, unabe to do this, I called my son who's a cisco IT engineer, who was working it Turkey for a few days...help, cant even email him!!!wait until I get home, so the moral of my tale is

BUY ONE, or more, its certainly cheaper and less trouble in the long run

Cheap and Effective

I've always wondered why Surge protectors cost a lot in retail stores, but then after looking at this Belkin Surge Protector I found that it might be because Belkin (and others) offer different suggestions for how much RF interference and other sorts of leakage/interference affects each product.

e.g. "This device uses high frequency capacitors to provide maximum reduction of AC line noise contamination over the widest frequency range"

So to provide a little more insight into why you'd buy this over other devices comes in the form of the fact that you know you are getting a sound product at an excellent price, which overall will provide peace of mind.

The fact its also guarenteed to cover anything you own that is connected to it from the risk of surges also adds a layer to the argument behind buying one of these.

Get one if you've unsure about it - as 6 sockets is plenty, and two of them rotate in case you have large plugs to insert.
