54g Wireless Router

Windows 98I bought this and expected the usual hassles with installation - those that accompany many items of computer hardware or software.
With this unit however the setup was completely painless. The setup CD analysed my system (NTL Broadband), noting down MAC addresses, network address etc., and then told me what to plug in where. Once that was done it just worked - no fuss, no pain. If only more hardware was as simple to install and use.
It has been reliable and the wireless part of the unit has a reasonable range within my solidly brick built house.
I have no complaints and would recommend it to others.

Windows XPAt last! You would think in this day in technology advance when they can do all sorts that they would be able to do something about usability.
We've had 2 routers before, a Linksys and a Buffalo and both have been an absolute nightmare to install. And then once they do install it takes forever for the adapter to pick them up and connect to the internet.
I got home from work tonight to my Belkin package, opened it, put the CD in and literally 5 minutes later all computers were connected to the internet and running smoothly.
My god I love you Belkin.
I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone -- to first time buyers, and those who have been let down by their previous routers. It really is as simple as A,B,C.
(I am using NTL broadband with a Belkin adapter, one laptop and one PC)
Belkin 802.11g Wireless Cable/DSL Internet Gateway Router
Superb, very easy installation and setup. I bought the gateway and the 802.11g PCI card . This can be set up so the router connects only to the Set top box for cable, with network cable and then every other computer can be connected without wires. I only state this as it took me a lot of research before buying to confirm that every computer can be wireless. The only time you need to be wired to one computer is during setup.
I now plan to add a notebook with in built wifi.
At this price buy it.

Windows XPGreat piece of kit. Installed first time no problem. Can take a little bit of manoeuvering to find the ideal location for maximum throughput, but no different from any other wireless routers in that respect. Software installation a breeze and then straight forward configuration via a web browser.
Works well with NTL

Windows XPExcellent product. It was delivered very quickly, and installed within minutes, just plugged it together and installed the software.
Some additional time is recommended to set up the security features, which are disabled by default, but this is very easily done using the belkin website.

Windows XPI am so happy with this product. It's simplicity in itself to connect up and use.
I think it took me half an hour in total to install the router, position it, put the pci card in the pc, install it and install the pc card to the laptop (I bought the relevant belkin PCI card and PC card at the same time). They all instantly found each other.
The laptop card works great even at the furthest corner of the house upstairs (the router is downstairs).
I highly recommend this product. I've never had such an easy installation of anything (I did use windows configuration utility).

Windows XPThis is a superb piece of kit, excellent range and signal strength throughout the house I installed it in. Even to a laptop in the loft conversion.
Will definatley be buying again.
Word of advice to any potential Newbie buyers, if you want an ADSL connection, buy an ADSL router... not a DSL one then moan about it not working. Go read a "how to" on one of the billion websites on the subject, THEN buy one.. :-)

I did have an 20 pound wired ebuyer router, but when I got xbox live, I found out I couldent play through the router even with ports fowarded.
Also I upgraded my NTL 300k broadband to 750k, but didnt see any difference in speeed apart from downloads, but when I recieved this belkin router pages loaded much much faster.
When installing STICK WITH THE CD, as I tryed it without and everything went ape shaped, stuck the CD in, 5 mins later I was playing Halo 2 online ;).(you need to foward the right ports- its simple just look up on www.xbox.com)
Havent used wireless function yet- so no comment.
It also looks the part too, comes with a vertical stand.

Windows XPhad one was really solid and easy to install up and running in ten minutes used it 4 6 months friend was so impressed he bout it off me, i used others got rid of them bought it again , nuff said i think!!

Windows 98Just received this router today. Installed fine up the last item Connect to Internet when it stopped!. I failed to sort it out so rang the Belkin Free Helpline. Call quickly answered by a very helpful young man who had it all up & running in a few minutes. Ideal for novices such as me and I cannot praise Belkin too much for their super service. I am now connected to our new Sony laptop also received today from Ebuyer.
