Works great
os:
Windows XPBought this for use with a Draytek Vigor wireless router and it works really well. Drivers installed with no hiccups on Windows XP SP1a and it keeps a good signal from about 50 feet away with walls in the way.
Works with linux
Was given the WG511 by my employer. Laptop is a fujitsu-siemens C1020 dual booting WinXP and Suse 9.1. (>99% of time in suse9.1)
Updated Suse 9.1 to lastest updates via yast and this card works.
Absolutely brilliant.
Great Card
os:
Windows 2000Very quick and easy to install < 5mins. Great performance.
Just the job
os:
Windows XPBought to connect to a Netgear DG834G router. Installed the card and the software as per the instructions. The Netgear utility to control wireless networking is far superior and easier to use than Windows XP's built in system.
The only thing which is slightly odd is that the router support two forms of WPA encryption, but neither this PCMCIA card, now the equivalent PCI card appear to be able to use it.
Wireless Card
os:
Windows 2000Took 10 minutes to set up, used in conjunction with netgear WG602. Reception is excellent throughout the house. Superb product.
Easy to Setup
os:
Windows XPJust did what it said in the instructions and I am up and running easy to setup, another great product from Netgear. Bought along with the DG834G Modem wireless Router perfect combination.
5 Stars Plus
Just what I wanted

Not ApplicableI bought this in conjunction with the NG834G Wireless router and it worked very well. Good range, easy setup, doesn't stick out of the PCMCIA slot too far etc. No problems. No problems.
NETGEAR WG511 Wireless 802.11g 54mbps PC Card
os:
Windows 2000Bought this card to connect to a Netgear DG834G router. Installed the card and software with no problems what so ever. Card has been happily connecting at 54mb and has been an excellent purchase.
WPA PSK protection does work.
Have seen some reviewers saying it doesn't support WPA. It does. Go to the settings tab, tick the advanced option under security and click on the Advanced Security button to insert the pass key.
I've borrowed this card for my work laptop and it connects no problems to my linksys router/AP with full signal strength.
Fantasic
os:
Windows XPIts a great peice of kit, doesn't have the best range in a normal house 'cos of all the walls and stuff but you get a good speed. It sticks out of my aptop about an inch which is average but be careful if you are putting it in a case. With my case i can only put it in teh case one way which can easily be forgotten.
