Does the Job

Windows XPBought this as I had run out of USB2 ports and firewire supposedly uses less CPU time which was important as it connects to a high end film scanner. It arrives in a very 'OEM' style in a loose plastic bag sent inside a jiffy which was a little bit worrying but installed without using the driver disk on XP. Absolutely painless to install and use and works well with all of my firewire gear. Recommended.
Firewire 3 port card

Windows XPExcellent item at good price. I bought for use with Panasonic Video camera NVGS27. this is a cheap version (£180)of NVGS37( £320) . This little card allows download of video to PC which is the only significant difference between the cameras saving me £ 130!.
Only criticism of card it does not mention how many pins on each card and how many pins on the cable so I bought seperate cable
The card has 2 * 6 pin ports and 1 * 4 pin port
The cable is 4 to 6 pin 1 metre long

Windows XPcame in retail pack including a 6 to 4 pin 1.5m cable, software cd and has installation instructions ....installed in minutes and xp recognised straight away.
installing
recently bought new sony handycam dcr-hc27 and want to connect to pc so bought this pci card.
not sure if I have installed pci correctly. how can I check the connection??....any help please.
oh this does come with a 6 to 4 pin cable.
