It works in my Dell Dimension 8300
os:
Windows XPDells and memory -
Apparently Dells are a little fussy about the memory you put in them. If you put in memory that surpasses (is faster) than the speed requirements, then the memory may run slower than some slower memory.
The memory required for my Dell Dimension 8300 is that with timing CL 3-3-3, denoted by CL3 in the part number. But I also checked on Kingstons web site where the data sheet confirms the timing.
My Dell has a memory bus speed of 400MHz, and these memory modules worked without any speed drop on the memory bus speed.
So the memory for me is spot on!
Very reliable
os:
Windows 2000I have used these with both high spec gigabyte/athlon64 and basic PCchips/duron systems and have had no problems at all. Highly recommended!
excellent
os:
Windows XPBought for ASUS P4C800, easy install, run fast and don't casue any probs. would defo recommend!
Great for price.
Great value RAM
os:
Windows XPFitted in seconds this RAM works a treat.
Doubling the memory on my system to 512mb has made a significant difference - especially with video and photo editing, without breaking the bank.
Great warranty too.
Go on Rodders, you know it makes sense...
Exceptional
os:
Windows XPVery, very good. What more can I say. Cheap as chips as well!
Recommend 2 sticks
Excellent RAM!
os:
Windows XPSimple... I plugged it in and it worked, absolutely perfect and with no problems. I upgraded from 256mb SD 133mhz. I changed the jumper config and installed the module with no bother. I'll be getting some more of this!
Great
os:
Windows XPI put 2 sticks of this in an Asus A7v800 motherboard, and it's going fine. Automatically detected, and automatically clocked down to PC2700 because I had a 333Mhz FSB, but that's my fault.
2x512MB RAM is definately more than enough to be running HL2, Doom3 and the like, albeit at lower resolutions. COnsider upgrading to 2x512MB (1GB) if you're an enthusiadt. But for tha casual gamer, two of these will be great.
Quality Product
os:
Windows XPPlugged these into my Asus A7v880 Motherboard, and it recognised straight away. Nothing to report, except that these two sticks are fine enough for me to be playing HL2 at 1024x768 at Medium-High with an Fx5500, and a 2800+ XP.
For hardcore gamers, I'd recommend 2 sticks of 512MB for a total of 1GB to be on the safe side, but two of these sticks will be more than enough for just about any application avaliable nowadays, and even for a budget games machine.
Great
