Fantastic Fans

I bought 2 of these case fans and a Coolermaster Aero 7 Lite. I ordered them on friday night, clicked for standard delivery, and the 2 case fans came the next morning! Fantastic service.

The 2 case fans work really well and you can't even hear them. I didn't have the bracket to mount the fans so I got some double-sided tape (good strong stuff) and stuck them on. I have one in the front of the case sucking air in, and one in the back blowing it out.

Just looking at SiSoft SANDRA 2002 Pro, I can see that the board temp is 27 C while the cpu is only 33 C on an 1800!!!!! Compared to 40 C CPU temp and 35 C board temp. I might do a bit of overclocking when I get the aero 7, but until then, get these fans quick, extremely good value for money. And remember, a cool pc is a healthy pc!

Thanks Ebuyer!

I got two of these and they work great. I had not problem screwing them on and no problem connecting them as they come with a extra power adapter as you can see in the picture, but that can just be easily removed to leave you with the normal 3 pin fan plug.

Fantastic Bargain

I bought 2 of these little cherrubs for the side of my case blowing directly on to my motherboard. After installing I couldn't tell there had been any additions noise wise. As for temp wise, overall case is down by 2 degrees centigrade. I think for the price these are an absolute bargain! They look pretty smart as well.

Just ordered 4 of these babies. 2 for my PSU and 2 for the back cos i need to keep my pc cool since the inside temp is 45˚C. They are very good since they run at 2600rpm but the noise level is 30dbA which is quite noisy.

So, to solve this problem I have decided to get a fan controller to run the fans at 1500rpm instead and they should be quieter. They arrive next week and I cant wait to test it out. If it does work and I finally have a quiet and cooled PC I am gonna order 2 more of these with another temp controller.

Anyhow I give this product a 5 star. It would cost me £12 to get the same spec fan from a highstreet shop so its a good price too.

This is a very quiet fan.
Comes complete with everything for installation, including an adapter for those without a free 3-pin connector on the motherboard.

Great case fan

I bought one of these to get rid of the heat in my case as I have no intake or exhaust fans (my power supply would usually do the exhausting, I know I know bad me lol) because I was getting a graphics card upgrade from a nVidia TNT2 Pro (yes people still use them) to a X1650 Pro AGP which is not working correctly (I never got it from here, 1 slap in the face for me) but even without that card this cools exceptionally well, my CPU now gets cooler than my HDD on idle! My HDD is at 34C idle and CPU 32C! It never gets above 40C at load when it used to get to 46C. I take the side off my case so that also drops some heat. As for the noise everyone is just moaning for nothing, I personally don't find it loud and can't hear it when I'm playing games even with the PC on my desk, maybe its because of my TNT2 which has about 30-40mm fan to cool it which is probably my problem. Just in case anyones wondering, you can insert a molex into the fan plug and then plug it into another device so you won't be down one molex if you have no motherboard connections spare. Another neat trick is don't buy a mounting bracket if you don't have one, I attached the fan onto my case with string, its easy to do, just thread the string through all the holes and the holes in your case and tie it tightly. Works just as good.

Noisy Antec Fan

Yes fan is IRRITATINGLY NOISY.
This is easily cured by fitting an in-line voltage
reducer, I use Maplin 7-volt 3-pin type (199p).
Fan still exhausts very well and is now quiet.
PS Make sure there is a hole in the case! Bigger
the hole, quieter the fan is.

Not Bad

I installed two of these in my computer; one intake at the front, and one exhaust at the back. The holes in my case were too big for the self-tapping screws, so I ended up having to either tape them in or glue them in!

I decided to tape them using some really sticky threaded plastic tape that builders use. It keeps the fans stuck to the case, whilst the screws merely balance it in place. If the tape was to come away, the fan would probably sit there alright anyway, but I taped them in to be sure.

As for the fans themselves, they shift around 34CFM but have made my system a lot louder. I'm not too fussed about the noise though as I don't desire a quiet PC yet.

Temperatures do read a lot cooler: The addition of these two have dropped the temperature in my case by 9'C from 59'C to 50'C at idle. This is very high, considering that I have a ThermalTake Heatsink and Fan (61296), a PCI Exhaust Blower (23879) and two of these fans. Although, my AMD Athlon XP 2100+ is 'overclocked' to 1.7GHz (which is the standard retail speed apparently), and my case isn't exactly optimal for air flow.

My opinion is that they're not amazing, but they're pretty good. For the money, they do what you'd expect. They are reasonably noisy, and I'd check to see if the fan 'areas' in your case have small or big enough holes for the standard self-tapping screws. Either that, or look for a fan guard to place on the other side of the case to screw the fan into.

I'd also look into rounded IDEs and Floppy Cables and wrap up other wires. Improvement in air flow just by confining wires can do a lot for cooling down your system.

since my last case fan gave up i decided to throw one of these in with my last order, and i am happy with it

i wasnt bothered about the fact it has leds or anything but i wanted one with the 4 pin adaptor as im using the only 3 pin on my motherboard. it does shift quite a lot of air and does a good job but it is a bit too noisy for my liking, im not obsessed with having a silent system though, i accept that i will always get some noise and since i usually have some music or something going im not that bothered

so its a good fan, some nice colours and shifts a good amount of air, a tad noisy but nothing that noticable if you have music or something on

Excellent build quality, versatile connection options, but noisy

Excellent build quality, good looking, very versatile connection options, but NOISY.

Speed reported by PC BIOS is around 2800rpm; the noise from one of these fans in the front of my case was louder than both of the fans in my Ebuyer dual fan 500W PSU. IMO the speed this fan runs at is too high; next time I will buy an adjustable or temperature controlled fan...
